Wait, No Scion?

That's ok. No one plays scion anyway.

Agree. The only one I've even seen that I can remember is the terrible one that uses ice storm. Such a bad build.

Speak for yourself, many of my characters were Scion. I like the class.
I like her the most.

They say they couldn't find the identity, when it was they who said, when Ascendancy first released, that the Scion is all about tree mastery. Did they forget their own design direction, or what? o.O
Have you never said something and then later realised you didn't feel like it worked out that way?

Well, what changed then? Because being able to take nodes from opposite sides of the tree still works as an identity that the Scion does better than anyone else, and could work even better with some simple additions.

Years passed, Scion's identity got greatly diminished by all the mechanics that let every class "master the tree". Clusters Jewels, Unique Jewels, Timeless Jewels, Passive Masteries, now those upcoming tattoos. Every class got so much flexibility in regards to tree that Scion's mechanical identity is just "a little bit more" nowadays.

If similar mechanics will be explored in PoE2 then it is reasonable that developers struggle to find an identity for her. On the other hand it doesn't mean she cannot come back at later time.

From what I seen, it is going to be very much like a Dark souls game. There will be enemies you run into where weapon switching is going to be the difference maker as well.

So dead game then ? Weapon switch mechanics so good, people love this type of gameplay......
I'll play guild wars 2 when I want to weapon-switch and piano keys, no thanks.
