Currency will become worthless over time

Now who's talking about WoW? I have tons to say on the subject, but this is POE :P

Long n short I dislike bound items in any game (I like POE in that all items are freely passed around) and only think non-binding breaks the game for people who play hours and hours every day.

I'm not sure about that.

As I see it, non-bound items create unfairness. Because trading and economics and all that shit you don't want in a game, becomes a major factor.

I wouldn't expect bound items in an ARPG (like PoE), but now that I think about it, I believe this would make the game a more equal playing field. Because you could just "work" for your stuff and wouldn't rely on winning the lottery or specializing in trading.
I could compromise with bound to account, but not bound to character.

But then currency items would become only be used for crafting

Yes, I forgot that part!

Absolutely. The biggest appeal of games like this, is the fact that I can "spoil my brats" as I call it ^^ I'm an altoholic after all ;) So yes, being able to hand down gear/farm stuff for your other characters is absolutely mandatory.

It's that mandatory, that I accept the existence of the vile creature that is called an economy.

So yes, a league with account bound items you can somehow work for - that sounds like a game I could enjoy.
Trading is a fun an necessary part of the game! As long as GGG finds a way to keep the economy stable.

And i think HC items floding the SC market is indeed a problem.

I couldn't disagree with this more. Trading is ruining the game because of trying to keep an economy stable. Play the game, find items. THat is what should be prioritized over everything else. If trading must stay, make all orbs untradeable BOA

This will never be WoW (the game that introduced "bind on whatever") and thank dog for that.

Actually (might be showing my age here but) a game that came 7 or so years before WoW introduced this idea. It was called "no drop" items. That game will be celebrating their fifteen year anniversary this year.
