My recap of PoE vs D4 and why even still PoE is unmatched
" It’s even more interesting to see the specific comments. Shitting on a game (any game), just for shitting’s sake has always baffled me. The sort of review bomb culture that also parallels cancel culture. It’s also fascinating how that often reflects a public stance, while privately another action takes place. ie; Blizzard sucks but take my money and play the game. " You don't have to have played 1 second of the game to know that it has a 5.0/10 player review score on metacritic. I NEVER went into any kind of breakdown of gameplay, or endgame or any of that. I simply commented that the game didn't get the kind of strong user reviews I would expect from a product with so much time, money, and expertise behind it. I don't know why that pill is so hard to swallow. Last edited by innervation#4093 on Jul 9, 2023, 6:21:23 PM

" I'd say it's a good metric for games, especially when you see the disparity between "professionals" and players. I mean, no wonder people are sure about game sites making paid reviews for AAA games. D4 is just the most recent example. |

" There is apparently only one good fight in the game and that is uber Lilith. Unfortunately you have to grind really really hard to get to that event. As a game I give it a 6/10 it really isnt that bad of a game but the lack of a real end game and terrible design of loot hurt it for me. |

" Nevermind the shortage of content. That's a genuine issue, but we should assume that more will be added. Defects and oversimplifications in the stash/storage and itemization systems are the more crippling problems. They make D4 pretty close to unplayable for anyone used to having access to useful tools for handling those things. Why is there no search bar in the stash UI? Why is there so much wasted space in the stash UI? Why are there only four tabs in the stash UI? Why are the item icons so large? Why are there so few icons for legendary aspects? You literally have to mouse over each one in the stash whenever you want to find something. It's just failure on top of failure. I feel as though I have had my pocket picked by Activision Blizzard, and that is not a comfortable feeling. |

" Wait till you learn poe has 4 stash tabs standard and charges like 12 usd or more. And then edit to you learn you can't list items on the trade website without a purchased stash tab. Valid criticism, but poe had that in spades. |

D4 is absolute trash. The itemization is horrid. Scaling the items who wants to find the same exact items over and over and over again. It is just horrid. GGG has nothing to worry about. D4 is dead. Their base to build on is so bad really they would have to start over. The whole itemization a core pillar of ARPG is fubar in D4.
Besides the fact that it is still laggy as well a over a month out from release. Bugs all over the place. Blizzard is not the blizz of old. I mean they even F up a patch with the uniques not to mention their 1k HC challenge on statue f'ed up as well. Really it is a joke at this point. A good point to take away from D4 is don't try and please everyone. They made the game worse in a lot of respects to satisfy consoles and couch co op. How many times they say when we make a change we ask how does it play on couch co op. Who gives a rats ass bout couch co op. Really like I am willing to bet less than 5% of games are on couch co op. Focus your game and make it as great as possible. Not spread it thin with bad ideas. D4 will be the last Diablo game I will ever purchase in that series. It is dead. was great in 97 threw 2001 after that has been utter garabge. |

I am easily pleased, i like killing shit and nice graphics. DIV does both of these well. PoE does one well, until 4.0
Melee in DIV feels better than PoE. If the core experience of a game is enjoyable i like it, i don't play games like a streamer and demand content so i have something to do for my audience to watch, i'm my audience. Being a casual I can enjoy DIV i have nothing to prove. Content will come with time, i have patience, i don't demand everything now. Compared to PoE DIV is lacking but DIV has things a casual like myself can appreciate. As a hardcore casual I really love the open world of DIV, the world is thoroughly convincing, it has so much detail and environmental storytelling. It's frankly amazing. Even many side quests are great, many with moving stories and great characters. Some are quite epic in scope. Another thing is your character can look great without MTX, everything is well animated too, even incidental NPCs in cities or within the the open world itself. The visual and aesthetic content makes the world so absorbing it's one reason why I keep playing, I just like being in world of Sanctuary. Hopefully 4.0 will be as good graphically as DIV, at least I hope character animations improve dramatically. If 4.0 was just an graphical upgrade i'd be delighted but there's gonna be so much more. The future of the ARPG genre is bright. Last edited by AbilityPoints#9049 on Jul 13, 2023, 4:23:09 AM

Last year I uninstalled diablo immortal after 1 month of play because there was absolutely nothing to do. Now history repeats itself. Diablo 4 uninstalled because is a really trash: lag and screen freeze almost all the time which already makes game unbearable and moreover game is boring once campaign is over. Goodbye blizzard, Poe king
