They might have a Diabloish act 1 - level 20 max version at exilecon but that's all. Full open type beta? Not a chance. Full release in 6 months? No way. Legit impossible timeline wise.

If by some miracle they are planning on a 2023 Holdiay launch under an artifical deadline, it will be a total rushed mess. That doesnt help anyone side by side with ongoing live service D4.

I'd guess PoE 4.0 in late Q1 2024 at best, and holiday season 2024 at worst. If it slides in 2025 that's an unmitigated disaster for them.

I wonder what this game ever did to players like you. You could just move on to other things, but no, you hang around hoping the game fails. Your guesses are just wishful thinking, considering they are based on nothing.

Got to lvl 82 Necro, doing around 1 million bone spear crits. The game overall is really bad. There is nothing they can do to make it even remotely good. There is too much back and forth, vacuous quests, and slow, unrewarding grind.

It's an objectively bad game that looks pretty and has good music.

PoE is still the king, and probably always will be.

GGG said the new league would start roughly 2 weeks after Exilecon (July 29/30).

That would mean the new league will start Aug 11th which means this league should end Aug 7th.

It was posted in the Exilecon Q&A where GGG recommended that if you want to tour the country, do so before Exilecon as the new league will start a couple of weeks later.

I hope when it's end they add the league to the core. i had a lot of fun in this league, i really liked the items with the passives that enabled a lot of insane builds, it wasn't the best league but it makes my top 10

jokes on you it's been dethroned since d3 blizzard has the numbers and ggg has never sat on the throne best they could do was 300k ish players when you talk diablo they talk in millions of players :)

i would argue D4 is exactly where actiblizz wants it.

it was not meant for nolifers like us who are in poe forums.

the game is marketed at PEOPLE not gamers. the way i see the majority of people who love d4, is they're the type of person who would play a game 1-2 hours a day or even less. might not even know what an ARPG is. they play d4 coz its fun and cool.

i will say D4 IS lovingly crafted. the animations/3d models. masterpiece! the dev team ARE passionate. but i will say they are tied by corporate decisions. also i would add the devs seem to be kind of green in the ARPG genre. i dont blame them. the old blizzard team is gone.

is POE the king? maybe to us. but to the casuals/gamer dads, they could say D4 is king.
