Diablo 1

Sure, this is correct if you define "endgame" as "uber bosses only". If not, it's 100% BS.

I like(d) several things in Diablo 4. And while I always feared that the Paragon Boards would only be boring stats, I had a tiny bit of hope that they would be a little bit more than that. Sadly, we're left with almost no customization beyond a set of legendary aspects crafted onto boring weapons, where 90% of the affixes seem more or less irrelevant, while I really EXPECT them to be more relevant come endgame.

They are not going to spoil the full endgame in a six minute video, less than 2 months before launch. They wouldnt showcase the pinnacle or tier advancement bosses (nor any story bosses)

Letting players known there will be Helltides, Hellgates, PVP zones, Bounty systems, Dungeons, etc.. is fine for a launch. Then the seasons will provide content beyond the base experience just like in PoE leagues.

For the paragon boards, they will have different sizes, rarity tiers, notables and keystone (to compare to PoE), and area bonuses when you link them.

Yeah it's not like they already spoiled all those things apart from the story bosses in closed beta or anything. Maybe they should have tried to hype up dungeons, world bosses & the paragon boards in the video because they are all incredibly underwhelming to play/use.

As long as those notables and keystones alter (and not just enhances) my build, I'll take them.

They don't though. Sure there's a billion different permutations of paragon setup but ultimately there's nothing really interesting. 95% filler nodes and nothing that would change the way you play or your build would perform.

As long the game is fun, and the other is NOT anymore the FUN game wins.

The ONLY way POE will learn it is GOING the wrong way, is when it has 2-3k online players left.

PERIOD.

they released their new "endgame" trailer and their "endgame" consists of new passive skills wich gives you +5 stat points and dmg boosts and nothing else and you got some dailies you gotta do every day and thats it yep thats it thats what you gonna be doing for the next 10 years do some dailies and spam the same dungeon/world boss for the next 10 years!

It's not my cup of tea for sure, but that's a ridiculous statement. It's a new game and end game content will be added over time to keep people coming back. I have no love for the Diablo franchise anymore, but your thought that what it is now will remain for 10 years is pretty out of touch.

Indeed.
D4 endgame content may not have much variety at release (what was shown so far) but so had PoE on release, which was dock or fellshrine runs and very bare bones maps which where rare.

The biggest improvement imo the devs can do to make the dungeons feel better is to introduce more different bosses and optimize dungeon layouts and add more objectives how to finish them.

120+ dungeons
World events, elites, bosses
4 world tiers with capstone dungeons and act bosses
Helltides
Fields of hatred
Hellgates
Tree of whispers

Rumors of something else but who knows

And that's the base game before a single league / season or expansion.

I think it's pretty misleading to say D4 went have much variety at launch.

Yeah but besides all those things, there's practically nothing.

I'd much rather have 2 map versions of every zone I already saw twice during the campaign, all without leaving my hideout.

Yeah. In comparison to OG PoE it has already more endgame activites.

But lets see how the Paragon board turns out to be. I hope it's not the same main stat farming like in D3.

Meh, again, the PoE forums not exactly the most reasonable spot for a D4 discussion anyways, so it is what it is.

It won't matter in a couple months.

I'm more curious about what GGG will mislead players about next? Thats the more interesting drama tbh.

I'd take a more bland, short, marketing / info video, than a hyped up, misleading, livestream and gaslighting extravaganza.

I'm certain when Rhyker hosts the 4/20 D4 podcast / interview (which lol), there will not be a portion where the lead dev looks at the camera, and responds to a question by telling the community to just design it on their own.

Almost like it was quite obvious to happen lol.
Blizzard is just pretty lazy and cheap these days. I mean look at the latest wow expansion and DI lol. But hey there are always people who falls for cheap cash grabs.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
