its been confirmed diablo 4 has no endgame at all!
" They are not going to spoil the full endgame in a six minute video, less than 2 months before launch. They wouldnt showcase the pinnacle or tier advancement bosses (nor any story bosses) Letting players known there will be Helltides, Hellgates, PVP zones, Bounty systems, Dungeons, etc.. is fine for a launch. Then the seasons will provide content beyond the base experience just like in PoE leagues. For the paragon boards, they will have different sizes, rarity tiers, notables and keystone (to compare to PoE), and area bonuses when you link them. I do understand the video wasn't exactly blowing people away, showing the travel stats, but that was intentional. They have been keeping somethings guarded or vague as best they can. I personally think that's better than the misleading information we have been getting with GGG. I suppose the TLDR was a six minute video wasn't going to sell a player either way. There wasn't anything new in this video. "No EndGaMe At AlL" Nightmare dungeons are pretty much the map equivalent from what they are saying. And actual PvP. And the video is pretty vague on how endgame actually works. And they said there will be more, if they pull a Cyberpunk, who knows.
So yeah, it's unmistakable how the smell of bias is pretty close to the smell of bs. Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

" There was never a chance that the end game would have any meaningful depth to someone who enjoys the depth of POE. That's the conundrum of making a game that is intended to appeal to the broadest set of players possible. Anything that requires any real depth will be considered too deep by someone who just wants to click stuff and go with little thought while making meaningful progress. Diablo 3 did a good job of appealing to their target audience. Diablo 4 will do the same thing. Thanks for all the fish!

" I don't know what to tell you. That video had nothing we didn't already know, and is certainly not trying to convince people one way or the other. It's informational at best, not some misleading hype video which is worse imo. That's not copium it's the truth. D4 is going to be fine. " As long as those notables and keystones alter (and not just enhances) my build, I'll take them. The largest problem with Diablo as I see it, coming from PoE, is the build freedom/customization. Lets use an example: A ranged build (bow/crossbow). What are really your options here? What tools do you have to specialize/customize your build to be different from other bow/crossbow users? As I see it, you have 1 choice when it comes to class, 2 choices in VERY underwhelming "basic skills" (which you are forced to use here and there), 2 choices in "core skills" and a couple of ultimates. If paragon boards changes that, I'm all in. But I just can't see how they will. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Apr 5, 2023, 2:26:11 PM

Holy copium batman. Or straight disinformation, could be both.
The entire game world is the endgame, compared to sitting in your HO spamming maps. 120+ nightmare dungeons with 4 tiers of difficultly. PoE has roughly the same amount of maps, and both games have some that repeat. How many different maps of Sarn or it's tileset are there? And how many maps do yall favorite, and spam indefinitely? These sigils are cool to, because not only do they drop as expected from doing all the other activities, but you can craft them. Actually PoE should steal this idea and make maps craftable, such as you can craft a Guardian map for X currency. World events. The world has 4 tiers of difficulty, and events that spawn. World bosses, elites, mini events, strongholds ect. Many also drop the special gambling currency. 5+ fields of hatred (there's 6 world zones because of hell, but don't know of there's a FoH in it) zones of PvP spread across the world, with actual rewards and an interesting mechanic trying to collect a currency and protect it. PoE has pvp too! And near zero even play it once. There's supposedly Helltides, where a whole zone gets overrun with waves of enemies. Sounds to be much like d2Rs terrorized zones which are a lot of fun. PoE has... nothing similar. There's whispers of the dead, which are new bounty type quests that'll pop up from time to time. Includes world events, special elite monster spawns, strongholds ect. PoE also has nothing remotely similar. Oh and of course, D4 will have actual working co op that's fun to play. You're not trying to catch up to your friend that's zooming through the map, trying to be the first one to pop a screen of monsters. So yea it looks like D4 will have plenty of endgame *on launch*. |

" I actually agree with this. There are too many "no brainer" decisons from what we have seen so far, but again its just a snapshot. I expect live service to address some of this on an ongoing basis too, just like it has been for PoE over the past decade. And poe has endgame? Because u can't do all with any skill, meanwhile on diablo u can do all with whatever skill u desire.

" You can 100% do everything with any skill but will it be more effective then others? Probably not Mathil as an example has done every single skill in the game to make everything work it's the use of your brain or copying others to make things work which some of you don't wanna do that.
