8/8 Ruthless?

Basically its why is ruthless worth custom challenges for the 4000 or so players but the much larger (but still small compared to SC) HC population just has the regular ones?

Because Chris really, really, really, really wants Ruthless to be EVERYBODY's favourite game mode. Or, at least, everybody's starting mode in a new league.

He has just as much trouble, I think, wrapping his noodle around the fact that most of us hate the very concept of Ruthless, as we do, understanding why ANYONE would voluntarily play that shit.

The unfortunate reality though, is this is CW's game. So, those of us who do not share his enthusiasm for masochistic gaming, are, it seems, increasingly farther from the direction he wants to push his game in.

They said the totems are different so if someone wants to do both they can and have an achievement for that - not sure why this is a bad thing.

Its a side project but does that mean it cant EVER get any love? I played Ruthless with gold (2 char 70 and 80) and can see the appeal once trade gets stale but definitely not to start a league...

Doesn't bother me they want to support it but I do think having the boss kill event as HCSSF ruthless only is a mistake - run two side by side be interesting to see how much faster non-ruthless is to ruthless (if this is even possible in ruthless).

Ultimately I think Ruthless lets Chris see his vision come to life while the rest of POE can be a 'too easy/watered down' version of that vision that the masses want. Chris brought us POE I think he deserves to have his vision in some form.
