Calm down guys - no need to argue! You can play both games. Play 20 hours of D4 to min-max your character, and if that's not enough for you, you can continue with a game that provides content and build variety and an actual itemization.

It exists because PoE fanboys would die of restlessness if they couldn't say POE is superior to whatever other game there is because it doesn't have what PoE has.

D1 - D2 - D3 - POE - DI - D4

Diablo player base established before POE. Many POE players past and/or present Diablo vets. Blizzard changes the Diablo experience and neglects not just Diablo but other titles in various ways.

Result: + for GGG/POE to capitalise on. A lot of Diablo and other title players liked their old games and the possibilities POE offers asking for POE to change more towards Diablo etc since Blizz doing Blizz things.

Like it or hate it etc POE morphs into Diablo/Vampire survivors hybrid while trying to maintain in depth HC values etc. Result: Messy.

So here we are. Everyone in groups with their favourite/preferred game and/or period of time within those games. D4 is different from 1-3 + Immortal not just in name alone. Its an online live service game with seasons so there lots of possibilities.

Good or bad it was always going to cause a stir, predominately within the Diablo community itself which changes with each game released. POE2 or w/e it comes to be will no doubt face similar things given the diversity, preferences and expectations of its community; a challenge GGG will/should be well aware of not just from POE but other titles.

Thats a long way to say blame Diablo players, Blizzard fanbois or newer unaware players xD Jk kind of :P

Maybe if the beta wasnt so bad for POE players they wouldnt have had to shit post. But it is definitely different strokes.
