Has anyone ever seen this ASMONGOLD reaction to POE 2 Trailer?
" If your only way of claiming D3 has better clarity is by nitpicking a niche situation where you wouldn't know how big Baran's slam would be with AoE then I don't know what to tell you. Besides, you don't really have to know how big a Baran slam is going to be, it's never going to AoE the whole arena, literally just move away if you're unsure. If you rolled AoE on Phoenix then either don't complain when he covers the whole arena with his explosion or drag him to the walls of the arena so that you have room, if you fail at this then you're practically failing an incredibly simple IQ test, at that point you can't really blame the game. " This has absolutely nothing to do with visual clarity, this is just you asking the game to hold your hand. Considering plenty of boss skills in PoE have telegraphed indicators, when a skill doesn't, it's obviously done on purpose that way. The only boss fight in PoE that has bad visual clarity is Sirus, which is mainly to do with ggg picking terrible colors that have 0 contrast with one another, other than that, I can't think of any other boss that has bad clarity Oh and, " Call it smart ass, but yea, this whole game is ''you'll learn it eventually'', Phoenix has been in the game for how many years now? If you still can't approximately estimate how big the explosion will be then you can't really blame the game. HC balance should be separate from SC I don't care which outdated 1993 game dev philosophy this goes against. youtube/twitch.tv/DESPAIR268

" Here is a watch for you...wake up... POE2 as they call it it's an expansion of what we have in POE...Probably a new graphic engine , and some revamps here and there ( skills/tree/ascendancies and how you combine them)...The rest is the same 100% sure...you can come and tell me it's not after Exilecon. Pointless to argue anyway, hopefully POE2 has something to patent the genre...because as I see it right now, they took d2 added replyability made it better...d3 failed so POE won a round...If d4 innovates, which I do not see happening as what I saw now looks like it's some copy pasta mesh game between d3 poe and lost ark, and POE2 doesn't, Blizzard would have won the war. " I'm not sure what's worse: Calling PoE 2 a "new game" or to heavily underplay the changes like you are doing. Both views are totally missing the mark. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Well from what we know and the second trailer what would you say... Everything looks the same. Flasks are were it should be, same number of skills on the bars. Same armour slots, same scrools , same skill gems...Yea I am havily underplaying the chances... From what we know we will have more 6 links ( cool...more buttons to push, and like an ancient man once said, even if you 5 millions skills, if 3 of those skills are cookie cutter skills then you only have 3 skills.) Probably mobs scaled to adapt to those 6 skills. Class and Ascendancy changes out of which we know little to nothing. Let's say I am underplaying the chances, but I terribly doubt that a revamp to some skills, adding crossbow and spears to the game changing some ascendancies is worth to be called a sequel . But hey, I've played worse games that have been using the same system for years so yea. To me Poe 2 seems like POE 1 with some things added that should have been added in POE 1 for literally ages. " Look... Armor slots? Weapon slots? Skill slots? I mean, most of those stayed the same between D1, D2 and D3 (with some additions). I'm sure a lot of them will stay the same in D4 too. "Slots" are the same in most ARPG's, so to sit here and critique PoE 2 for not reinventing the wheel in that apartment is kind of unfair if you ask me. What we do know is coming: - A complete new campaign - New physics - New animations - New character templates - New tiles - Several new weapon types - Double the amount of ascendancy classes - A new skill system where you will be running around with lots of six-links. It doesn't matter if the "mobs are scaled to it" or not (but of fucking course they are). It will still be a new system, giving us new options. I'm pretty sure monsters are being scaled towards every new system in every new game. - New META supports that will change the way we interact with a lot of skills To me, it seems like PoE 2 will have more new and updated things than we see from one CoD iteration to another. From one FIFA iteration to another. From one Tekken iteration to another. Again... It's an ARPG. I'm GLAD a lot of things will stay the same, because I hate the things Blizzard are doing, 'forcing' MMO gameplay into an ARPG. I actually like the ARPG recipe and I don't feel like every wheel has to be reinvented. To me, D3 was a worse game than D2 BECAUSE of the changes. Changes for the sake of changes is a bad thing when it comes to mechanics. No, it's not a completely new game - but if you think "everything looks the same" you are either expecting too much, expecting a non-ARPG or you need (new) glasses. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Mar 12, 2023, 12:47:53 PM

" True but I am not comparing POE 2 to Diablo 4...This is a common misconception about people reading my posts...I do not compare anything to anything. Right now diablo 4 looks ok, but to be honest the [Removed by Support] child between POE , lost ark and diablo 3. We will have to wait and see...I expect literally nothing from Blizzard, NOTHING...Except a copy pasted marketing money grabbing game, that how literally everyone put's it, is hot garbage...But I am still hoping that somewhere deep between the holes of Blizzard there is somewhere a game designer that knows what to except copy pasting and hoping for high sales. On the opposite side is GGG which proved a long the years to stand tall in the face of adversity. Which is not the case lately...Since they began to win small fights with moguls like Lost Ark being p2w and not shaking POE , diablo immortal being p2w and severing the reputation of the game, made GGG confident, which in terms resulted in leagues being copy pasted with nothing else but nerfs and nothing new...A wait now we can farm more splinter shards, hurray to that, the price of chayula keys plumed ... From GGG I expect a little more than from Blizzard, and yet GGG disappoints me while Blizzard on the contrary brings something that I enjoy for like 2-3 days. It was good advertisement two years ago. Since then Lost Ark has released and D4 is about to. It's already lost a lot of it's shine at this point.
