No you are wrong, it is very accurate because now people know what POE 2 is and they will be eagerly waiting on said release which is expected some time end of this year.

POE 1 looks like a indie title, POE 2 looks like a AAA title there is a big difference in what GGG is marketing here. They are clearly aiming to take POE 2 to the next gen with those new god like animations and graphics and updated engine etc

The vomit inducing 1998 character animations of POE 1 will be history, Blizzard players will no longer be able to laugh at POE calling it a high school project by 2 New Zealand guys in their basement.

I dont want to kill your hype, but unfortunately that's all this is, hype.

PoE2 isnt next-gen, it's not AAA, its not even standalone.

PoE2 is expansion PoE 4.0, with an alternate campaign, that shares endgame (same old atlas) with PoE1. Do the new acts look ok in the trailer? Yea sure. The first time through will be fun I would guess, but a new campaign doesnt make endgame loops and replayability happen.

There will be some mechanic changes with skill gems and socketing, a dozen or so new ascendency options (which god help us half the current ones now ain't great), and some engine upgrades. The character models ain't changing (minus the large cat the ranger turns into), and to be completely fair, the graphics and performance are not great.

Not to mention the bugs. Mother of all that's holy there will be bugs. I'm not even sure everything will work right whenever this comes in 2024. They need a 6 month beta at least just to ensure it isnt broken.

The new animations which cost them millions to develop looks nothing like POE 1 not even remotely close.

You claim it's the same game yet POE 1 looks like it was made by kids in a basement while POE 2 looks like it was made by SONY Santa Monica.

And no this isn't cinematic trailer that POE 2 trailer was clearly ingame graphics that is literally real remade animations from the ground up I know you don't believe it but trust me there is gameplay showing what POE 2 looks like and it's nothing like POE 1.

Denying there isn't a huge difference between POE 1 and 2 is like console players who claims they can't see above 30 FPS when any sane person can clearly see the difference between 30 60 and 144hz/FPS monitors.

I didn't, and it's mentioned in my post.

PoE2 isnt a new game. It's an expansion, version 4.0, stated specifically by GGG. It's a new campaign running parallel to PoE pre-4.0 existing 10 act campaign. Both campaigns merge to share the same end game.

I believe you might not actually know what's happening with "PoE2".

It is called POE 2 NOT POE 1

POE 2 is a new game and it doesn't matter what updated they do to POE 1.

Yeah, like when blizzard put in all those new animations and graphis into warcraft three and made it an entirely new game and called it . . . Warcraft 3 Reforged. . . Hmm bad example.

It's like when they also made all those new graphics, converting a 20 year old engine into THREE DEE! And released Diablo ... Reforged? Remastered? (I honestly forgot whatever subtitle they gave it).

Sarcaism aside, new graphics a new game do not make. It's a really bad grounds for what you're tring to get across. You could argue the socket system is so integral to path that altering as largely as it looks like they may do will 'alter the game enough' to call it a new game. But they've touted cross compatability with PoE 1, that's a pretty strong sign that they are the same game at heart. You couldn't play Warcraft 2 with Warcraft 3, or the remastered Diablo with Diablo 3. Because those systems are different from the ground up. The rules of the game are different, the engine is different, the style is different AND the graphics are different.

Note, I'm purely arguing pedantics here, just a bad ground to make your point. I don't actually care if it's a new game or an expansion, I'm pretty stoked for it, looks super nice, with any luck it runs smooth near launch (no shade nor thing, new graphics big expansion or otherwise, games don't like to launch smooth, and I remember the early path having more than one rough edge).

ON topic, no, I don't waste time with reaction videos. I'm WAY too busy making pedantic arguments in random game forums for that.

Yes it will have a larger amount of players because it's the next closest large content expansion after the upcoming league in April. Everyone who knows and plays PoE knew about the trailer without any "reaction video" and on top every active player also knows that it's just a larger expansion.

Reaction videos like this are just bad cause it clearly misleads people in the wrong direction. His lack of knowledge let's you believe that PoE2 will be an entire new game, while it's just a larger expansion.
