So, Sanctum staying after the league is over - yay or nay?

It's enjoyable, but 32 maps to fully run one? Daaaamn.

You can think about it as delayed rewards you know. It seems to almost always give at least 2 divines and a whole bunch of stacked decks/chaos orbs.
I like the idea, and I would like it to become core, but with some tweaks to when resolve is impacted. Only largely telegraphed hits should impact resolve and they should have a much higher impact when they land.

Melee is once again at a huge disadvantage and that bothers me.
Thanks for all the fish!

Let's just be honest. This league was about testing practical implications for relics, and their feasible applications the the core game as psuedo "D2 like charms".

The problem is the power creep in doing so. You can already see it with Keystone builds and invocations. Not to mention Frenzy charges or flat added damage. It cannot make it into the game as is, at least imo.

I could see the relics making it to core in some fashion if they dramatically reduced their power, or tied it to some aspirational content and made them unique. However CW did mention the intention was to only have these last 3 months, which could mean two things.

1. They never intended them to go core
2. They want these as rewards in PoE2 (4.0)

It should stay, but the occurrence should be dropped significantly but you get 4-8 in one go.

signed, someone who would have removed heist contracts but kept blueprints and have them dropped fully unlocked.

Basically this. I have played 2 builds this league, one which is bad at sanctum and one that is good and how much I enjoy the league is extremely different between the 2 characters. If GGG finds some good ways to balance forbidden scrotum then I think it would be a good addition to the game.
It won't stay for the simple fact that it destroys the purpose of hardcore.
I'm going to say no.. they already said they don't want Sanctified relics going core after league so what is the point then of running this without that potential?

They would have to sit down and really update it, new rooms, new bosses, adjustment to resolve mechanic, boons and afflictions, basically everything needs to be dialed up to make this mechanic more interesting.

As we've seen time and time again though, they rarely ever go back to give mechanics the love they need. They are more interested in introducing new stuff. And PoE 2 being right around the corner this year, I don't give this league a chance to go core.

what is the purpose of hardcore ?

your reason makes no sense to me .
the huge pb I see if it go core is how many maps you ll need for just 1 sanctum ? it s already a bit tedious unless you waste 32 maps. so I suppose they would add a sextant to get sanctum on each map. Can you have a sextnat without having one voidstone meaning already killed a big end game boss ?
anyway, point is, as long as it s not more tedious to gather the 32 rooms would be cool to have them core yep.

Pb would be the power creep from relic. They would have to delete this additional slot maybe.
