There are no builds in PoE. Everything is just exploiting, abusing, and gimmicks

Everything is so overly complicated and when you find a fun build its gone in a few leagues. This game feels like the devs want no builds to clear all content. So when they see a build that can do everything they nuke it. So then crazy players spend hundreds of hrs in path of building coming up with another build and everyone jumps on that train and the devs crash that train in a few leagues.

You should be able to pick a main skill like fire ball and slowly improve your character through playing and take that skill to clear all content. But in this trash game you can't.

Instead you hit a wall. Have to start over. Can't just have a simple relaxing fun build. You have to throw a bunch of skills into one, have curses, auras, and a hundred other things that takes days just to set up right before you can even play a minute.

Games are suppose to be fun and relaxing. My issue is not being able to do some content. My issue is I can't have fun and do all the content. I have to play builds that are so stupid, I don't want to play them. And everyone is playing the same 5 builds.

Feel like I am playing Madden online and your forced to spam the same few plays all game long. It works but its boring and stupid. Again games were made to relax and have fun. Not everyone wants to be some competitive video game pro player playing the same game every day for eighteen hrs a day.


I came back gave the game another chance. Never played a Arpg with such boring builds. Let alone no melee. Not even going to get started how stupid no melee is.

you mean you don't like a league start build that will have you get some currency

then have to start over with a red map farming build that can survive and get you a bit more currency

then have to start over and have a minor bosser character that can farm a bit more currency

then start over and have an uber boss killer for 50-70 divines

and then on top of hit roll another character than can do sanctum well

i mean come on thats the vision

Did it with freezing pulse/ice spear totems. 300hrs 75d never finding anything over 1d slowly grinding on console which is harder than PC. I spent over 100 hrs testing builds trying to find something fun. Everything fun was worse than my starter. I feel I am force into the handful of builds everyone is running.

Not doing it. I will just delete everything including my 75d and go play another game. And not play future leageus.

I played for years and stopped playing the last year. So I had to put in allot of hrs to catch up and get on page. Nothing changed since I quit. Maybe the games even worse as there no longer is any melee builds.

Addicting, boring, waste of time game.

When I quit this league, I was a top 5 Jugg. I hadn't played since Harvest, and I feel the same. Nothing really changed, and the league was terrible. Won't be coming back for at least a year due to Last Epoch and D4.

The game hasn't changed since start of last year. Literally nothing new has been added.

And even after achieving your goal, you only got a wasted amount of time and no fun. Just time to ask myself why do i even spend my hours on it?

Can I have your 75 div please? Im still having fun with multiple builds and alts.

Not really a universal definition? YOU like games that are fun and relaxing, while other people may like games that are fun and not-so-relaxing. Anyhow, I find PoE very relaxing most of the time.

But I do agree that the balance when it comes to skills and builds should be their main focus next league(s). I think the core game, content wise, is in a good spot. But the chance of major balance changes/META changes with PoE 2 on the horizon, is probably not so likely, sadly.
