Lag spikes since 3.20

are you also playing on amsterdam/frankfurt and are located in northern germany? it doesnt seem to be a problem with telekom itself but rather a problem of the provider telekom is routing to

So i assume that i have a package loss and such things like all the others, because since 3 days ago i will have high latency issues as soon as i start a map.

I hope someone can help me with a fix so...

Do you have any confirmation from Telekom? Is it their job to fix it or someone else's? I do also live in northern Germany.

it seems to me that the provider of the frankfurt datacenter is having issues. but its unlikely that amsterdam and frankfurt both have these issues at the same time, and not for everyone. so i think the best bet would be to send these logs to telekom and ask them about it, if many people report to them about the same issue they might find something out.

Hi guys,
I'm testing a few things on this matter. I'm not a IT or network person, but I have / had the same problem in the last couple of days (incl. today). I recorded my packages with winMTR. From what I can tell the solution lies in the routing.

I've compared the 2 winMTR recordings:
a) The ones that produce the re-occuring lag spikes there are usually multiple (5+) hosts after the "softlayer-" host.

b) I'm now looking at a winMTR recording that doesn't have the "softlayer-" host. On top of that it shows multiple "fra" hosts (for Frankfurt) in between the number of hosts (including the one right before the final IP)

I cannot tell you who or what determines the routing. (Anyone who knows please enlighten us). I changed a few things in the last couple of hours on my setup. Unfortunately I don't know what did the trick for me and how long this will last. Hope this helps.
