Item and progression achievement in the harder environment is its own reward.

According to announcement, you are in end game right at start (campaign is treated as a part of endgame, if i remember correctly). I like this idea.

No need for item filter with drop reduction. Maybe finally "rare" will be rare etc.

The upcoming manifesto will be an excellent indicator on this front. If you see mostly nerfs, its sadism all the way down. However, if the manifestos are majority buffs, we may well be living in that timeline where they chill out a little bit on the main game and let the community push the 'too easy' complainers towards SSF/HC/Ruthless or some combo of the 3.

Yes yes, have a laugh - but look. All these things that people endlessly whine about being nerfed? They were all buffed at one point.

Ailment immunity on PoE, AA, TS, and MS came out of nowhere. Manifested. Just snapped into existence. Original spell suppression, original Glad asc with easy 75/75, original Vaal Pact, I could go on and on just on defenses.

I believe they will not have 2 bad leagues in a row.

The only other way continued nerfs make sense is if GGG know reddit better than they know themselves, and they trust that this continued taking away of toys won't stop any of them from playing PoE2 - where they will begin more traditional power creep again.

I wonder how seriously GGG considered not going down this route, continuing old power creep, then doing a stat squish like an MMO.

What are you talking about? People play games at free time to have fun. If you like easy mod no need to look for excuses.

I will try it in ssf standard after I get tired of ssf league, which happens around a month after release. May turn it into a periodical thing.
