When you finish the league lvl 75 with barely done few maps and wih NO rewards we will talk again.

Ruthless wont be hard it will be slow dry death in the desert..

I'm the opposite of this, I think you'll see players with ruthless clears on SC in a couple of weeks and it'll probably happen on HC too.

People forget players have already done very successful white item runs I don't think anyones gonna get majorly held back by ruthless except those that want to be for their own enjoyment.
Main problem is that ggg will throw another complexed skin rewards meaning that you MUST do a 40/40 before you can "chill" in Ruthless.

tldr: i want rewards for Ruthless same as a main game proposes but for other activities

True, if 3.20s challenge rewards are dope like 3.18, and you can't earn challenges in ruthless until 3.21 you'll definitely see people only play ruthless after their league challenges.

The above scenario is why I'm personally optimistic about Ruthless. Current PoE feels exactly like D3 did in it's later stages; you catapult right to the hardest difficulty skipping SO much of the intended progression, and immediately find yourself only every wanting the absolute rarest items to drop because the rain of everything else on your character is just standard

Ok sure, but isnt the solution in the progression problem you stated solved by normal or HC SSF, which already exists in-game?

Ruthless will still have trade, group play, and a Standard realm. Unless you mean SSFHC Ruthless, which ok, I grant you will be a progression hellscape for the folks that truly love to be stepped on.

Who actually care about SC? As for HC SSF in this league only 12 players finished all uber bosses (and only 64 players beated at least 1 uber). I don't think someone will beat all ubers in 3.20 RHCSSF.

Ehh not really. Even on ssf I'm on a 5 link by day 2 and a 6 link within the week, have all my gems to 20, resis cap and a good amount of life from crafting, got every support gem I need, and I'm pushing towards t16's without looking back. Sure any of the even more common uniques will be out of reach until rng, but it's still close to the same problem.

SSF helped with the problems I outlined in my previous post but it doesn't solve them enough.

And it's not about loving to be stepped on, it's about enjoying the day to day progression. Catapulting from the beach to t16s and only wanting div drops in a matter of hours just isn't fun anymore.

Instead of buying your 6 link day 2 of every league, you realistically won't get one the whole league if playing Ruthless.

OMG that does sound exciting! Can't wait!

Just applied for the Alpha.

I liked the rework of Act I, that made it harder.
I imagine that ruthless is kinda like Twilight Strand. I love that. Farming for Oni is something I like, although the constant character changing makes it less fun. But I imagine that in Ruthless most of the game feels a bit like Twilight Strand.

My problem with modern PoE is that it is too easy until it is too hard all of a sudden. You breeze through content, hardly noticing what you're doing, until you hit a concrete wall.

There's hardly any middle ground.

My hope for ruthless is that it provides a challenge even during the campaign and consistently in "normally" rolled maps.

What, not hitting all major power milestones 48 hours into a 3 month league? Yes dude to some of us that DOES sound fun.

Not hitting even a basic major power milestone in an entire 3 month league? Whoopie! Sounds great!
