Everything is fun if it's not handed to you like in kindergarden. Yes, it's fun, you'll feel like ur achieving something while others cannot even do it\handle it.

It is fun for me to know that last time i died in acts, maybe, 3 years ago, and i'm mostly HCSSF
Yes i won't ever see Shaper, yes i won't farm Elder, yes i wont go delve 666, i won't do all content but that's not where my fun comes from.


I find fun in earning things by effort and blood and sweat
You find fun in having stuff without effort or with no penalty

You should read news about Ruthless properly. It's not like only reduced loot. You play without movement gems (almost all deleted in Ruthless, only few gems like fliker left, that will let you engage, but not dodge something), no recipe crafts, some currency deleted, influence removed if you change item. So even you farm 20x Ruthless will be way harder than SC (GGG said that you will probably get 1 alch when finish campain, so drop rates are even lower). If average player need 5-10 hours to finish acts, and drop is reduced 20x, will that mean, that you will sit in acts 100-200 hours for "same difficulty"? Of course no, you will go to bosses with low resists, no movement skills, you will have super low dmg without items, support gems and your active gem will be low level (gems exp reduced it Ruthless).

I'm mostly playing SC and I wanted game to be closer to what ruthless is. You're right it's about mindset but it has nothing to do with being sc or hc player. I see a lot of hc players hating it just as much or more than sc players.

Want ruthless?? Go fight Brutus triple possessed with 40% extra damage and 20% r tra physical as chaos in mayhem on HC SSf

I think Ruthless in act 1 wouldn't be hard at all, but when you get to acts 6+ you will have items without resists and hp, so imagine your character come to a boss with elemental dmg, you have 20-30% less hp than normaly you have and boss deal 2-3x more dmg to you, because you have 25-50% resists instead of 75% + you can't use movement abilities to dodge enemy mechanics and you do absurdly low dmg without support gems, with low level active gems and bad items. 1 mistake and you start again in Ruthless HC SSF.
Don't forget about maps, even low tier will be extremly dangerous. You will have huge elem reductions after Kitava + you have bad items + you can't craft resists for your items and of course super low damage will give monsters a lot of time to hit you.
That is what I expect from this mode.
