Ruthless FAQ

Why didn't you make mobs hit harder or have base mods that affect everything in the game to do with mobs? Like one extra projectile or always spawn with Steel Skin.

It seems in the mind of GGG wasting your time more through items makes the game harder...? When yes it will be hard at the start but as you gather items and resources to use on other characters it becomes easier and easier. Where as if mobs get harder and harder then the difficulty will always be there at the end game (maybe a bit at mid-game).

Also, it makes me think that the base game from 3.19 to 3.20 isn't changing much. Which most of your player base is really hoping for. As it will affect items and mobs in Ruthless.

This may be a work of love by a few people in the dev team in their free time. But GGG or anyone hyped for this mode cant deny this mode WON'T affect the base game. Because buffing the base games items or gems will nerf this modes "hardness" and nerfing items in the core game will buff this modes "hardness".

Something GGG will now have to balance around as you have to think as a developer about how changes will affect Ruthless.

You are clearly not the target audience. This game mode is not about speeding through the content like a zoomer. If you (IF!!!) ever get to maps, you will tackle mobs one by one at a slow pace. And yes you'll die a lot cuz that is one of the points of this league.

If there are encounters that require insane movement speed, chances are big these will be removed in both ruthless and the main game. None of these overpowered speedy mobs were ingame during open beta.
