UNDECEMBER is PoE killer.
" A one time payment for an AAA game is getting rarer and rarer. An A or AA game for $20 to $40 from indies might still exist. FTP with varying degrees of PTW is the future. Gutting Gameplay Gradually Last edited by zakalwe55#2432 on Oct 15, 2022, 11:57:51 PM

" AAA games are getting more expensive. With games costing more than $60 becoming more common. More Like $60 + $500 of DLC. Ya the DLC... cost more than the game. |

Never paid that much for POE. You can pay a twenty and have everything you need to go on. Whilst Diablo makes you pay an extra just to play a class that should have been in the base game to begin with and a new storyline so badly written it made me cringe. Angel of death what now? Story made zero sense and necromancer is a lousy class anyway.

I tested undecember (about 20h.) and I continue.
I find the campaign excellent, I love the design, the craft too, the 6 links separated from the equipment, being able to transfer 6 links to another skill, etc.... The impact sensations are not terrible, but it remains for me a very very good game. With headphones the soundtrack is really not bad. The concern being the economic model, paying for scroll of windom or portal scroll is abused. They fall too rarely. I don't mind a P2W in pve, I don't use it, but they went a little too far. Pay for stash ok but not for consumables. To see the end game but it's a good surprise. Last edited by Drax6661#7246 on Oct 19, 2022, 8:35:08 AM

Be warned, Undecember installs a rootkit that gives complete control of your computer over to the korean company who made the game. That's not tinfoil hat stuff, it's all over every review you'll read of the game.
Many games do this now, just thought I'd throw that out there. Last edited by Bleu42#4018 on Oct 20, 2022, 1:10:46 AM

" This is one thing that I find curious. That games come with very invasive anti-cheat software has been kind of normal for quite a while. There has pretty much never been a problem with it. So, why care?

" I think alarm bells rang for people when they had to give the game admin rights when they installed it, that's not normal. I don't recall ever having to do that until playing the demo but then again I don't play many F2P games. It's also not removed when you uninstall the game which isn't a good look. It's pretty easy to remove yourself and the devs later provided a tool to do it but it's too late by then since people already got the pitchforks out. " What I'm curious about is why are there pitchforks in the first place. I mean, almost all phone apps require far-reaching access, and it's not like people even read that or that there is a record of problem with that. A phone typically has a lot more vital information/functionality than a PC/laptops have, so... why does anyone care?
Its P2W garbage no thanks
