It's Korean P2W

Looks great, I'll be trying it out for certain. I don't agree with the direction that POE is going, so just begging for something else (new) fun to play.

POE itself is the PoE Killer

korean games are notoriously P2W, it won't be able to compete with POE... it might be successful but not at killing POE.

the actual "poe killer" is their own decisions..
6 months MT into 3.19 with a massive nerf to the arpg part of the game.. into a 4+ month hiatus due to december and how they handle december here.. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

I don't think Undecember will be poe killer neither competetion to current ARPGs such as PoE diablo etc...

you know there are 2 things about undecember that make me sad.
1. undecember is blatantly p2w (you can outright buy currency and stashes are .... compulsory) 2. undecember as well as torchlight infinite both have their own take on strike skills which made their melee game feel so damn good. poe WAS ahead of these games. why did these 2 games pop out of nowhere, took poe's fundamental systems and improved on it so quickly? i ve tried both undecember and torchlight infinite. both have a satisfying melee strike feel. you know whats really sad? at this point i m pretty hyped for unDec's official release. i liked the melee feel and i m to the point of overlooking the p2w aspect as the game simply is more fun. poe ... wait no.. its ggg. ggg is actively making my experience worse. Played it a little till act 2. Some notes:
------------------------------------------ -UI reminds of Diablo Immortal, especially the achievements where you click dozens of buttons for ingame rewards -Very Linear levels -Voice acting: Not good, not terrible -Can't rebind move to keys. Only click move via mouse. Could cause RSI. -Auto pickup for gold, items and also semi auto combat like idle games if activated with hotkey (character then attacks nearby enemies automatically). -Skill tree: If PoE and Grim Dawn had a baby. Imagine the whole PoE tree but divided into 10+ pieces called Zodiac Traits which have mini skill trees. 99% of passive points are boring stat/dmg/defense increases. -Skills can be linked like in Poe but every skill can have random amount of links and colors , so if you're unlucky you only get a 1-2 link fireball with shitty colors instead. - Have not seen any big P2W aspects yet , maybe mild.I assume currency to re-roll bad rolled skills more often could be bought for more QoL. Oh, i also found DrDisrespect ingame as an NPC: ![]() Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks |

Depends on how true they keep the p2w to the original and if they have a league-like system.
Leagues are what makes PoE replayable, and Korean p2w is going to give a lot of ppl PTSD flashbacks, which would kill the game in the medium term. I will definitely give it a shot though. |
