Can't believe the amount of people defending this guy either. This is his 3rd strike, when is enough finally enough? Unless you are a sponsored partner, employee, or otherwise receiving money from GGG, there's nothing to worry about. Want to insult Chris on Twitter, go for it, you aren't beholden to a more stringent ToS agreement. All this ridiculous panic about GGG going back into your middle school chat boards and finding the nasty bits is seriously delusional. You most likely aren't an employee or receiving compensation from GGG. If you're really scared, maybe you have a problem lobbing unwarranted personal attacks at people. Think about that for a moment. |

GGG is a private company in NZ. It's part of the contract you sign to be allowed to play their game that you don't harass or attack their employees. This guy did just that, multiple times and on public platforms designed for everyone to hear him. Get rekt.

lol they can just ignore him. It's way TOO easy to just ignore. Not sure why people say he deserved a ban for an opinion regardless of how emotional he was. This simply proved how much GGG hate the criticisms and it's clear as day none of them know what they are doing, and for long time too. It's like having a bipolar disorder on decision making.

Its kind of missing my point. Its a slippery slope to go down to keep banning words. Obviously most people agree that outright racist things are best avoided. Other words there is clearly quite a disagreement in society and I am more in favor of not banning words because you never know whats next.
What if he called Chris an out touch boomer and that triggered a ban? Not that I think it would have but its food for though. |

Not a whale, but I have never spent more money in a video game than this game.
You don't lose any money when you get banned, you lose the money the moment you purchase digital art inside a video game. You don't invest, you spend. I just bought a core supporter pack today because I want shiny things in the computer game I love. The thought of supporting GGG with that money is part of that process, but not the deciding factor. That being said, I'm very glad the money I spent went towards building a great company that made the game I spent more time in than in any other game with no foreseeable end. I am not in fear of getting banned from any computer game ever. When people get banned from playing a game it happens in the interest of the community. I think most of us feel ok with the idea that there are consequences to actions. Banned people always say they did nothing wrong for as long as I play video games (hint: it has been a while) but the reality is we don't want RMTers, macro users, toxic people that harass other people, cheaters and other banned folks in the game. |
