POE Whales - What are your thoughts on PoM ban and losing thousands $$?

I had heard of Path of Math, saw a few videos of his, never followed him, never watched his Twitch stream...he was "just a dude". So I am not personally invested in his actual ban. However, as someone who has spent some real life Money on POE, this does bring up some concerns for some of us who are spending thousands of dollars supporting GGG by purchasing the supporter packs and MTX each month.

PoM has spent upwards of tens of thousands of dollars on POE. GGG will not refund any of that; lol. He has lost a good chunk of money. Now it is no secret GGG did not appreciate PoM's criticism of where POE is headed over the years. He is a vocal little angry dude; no doubt. But, I would also wager most GGG players are not either. Steam's rating of POE has gone way down to the very bottom reds; "Mostly Negative". Ghazzy was screaming at the top of his lungs just the other day, "FIX IT! FIX IT! FIX ITTTTT!" in his last video. Same with EmpyrianGaming, and so on and so on, there are tons of rage videos at GGG on Youtube.

However, the main issue I wanted to point out, I am worried about supporting GGG in the future, as we could lose all of the money we spent on the game in a flash because of an opinion we shared outside of this game we play. What if someone screenshots something I said about GGG or one of their employees on the TFT Discord? Will I be banned and lose all my Supporter packs and MTXs also?

And I am curious to know what other big spenders think about this. Are you comfortable spending a a significant amount of your annual gaming budget on Path of Exile going into the future? Genuinely curious.

Actually pretty easy. Don't be a fucking jerk, act scummy, or say outrageous shit, and you will be 100% fine.

After seeing what happened, I am probably going to be much more cautious in purchasing anything from GGG for a while. I have already bought a pack this league, before all of this. I would not have, knowing this. As you can clearly see, I have bought a crap load of packs over my 10 years here. Going to be tough to keep that going.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
I don't think I've spent enough to consider myself a "whale", but I've spent more on POE in the past decade than any other game by far.

I understand that the money I spent has gone to supporting the game, and I understand that I'm not buying perpetual access to the game.

I understand that GGG probably believes it's in their best interest to keep my account around, so I can spend more money in the future.

I, being an adult, understand that GGG doesn't have to keep me around if they don't want to. I understand that if I start acting like an ass, GGG may terminate my account. I understand that there may be consequences to my actions, so I act accordingly.

I will likely continue spending some money here or there as long as I still have fun playing the game. So far, I'm still having fun. I'm not worried in the least that I'm going to be banned.

I have no issues with his ban.

I understand that my transactions are tied to my behavior in the community and my decisions to not attempt to hack the game or RMT.

EDIT: I also understand that this is an online service that could implode at any moment and my digital goods become worthless.

I don't get a refund for all the money I threw into Heroes of Newearth, Heroes of the Storm or Dota just because they are not fully supported or I stopped playing.

All well and good until someone decides that what you thought was fine is apparently 'outrageous'.

This is a road we dont want to go down.

I think PoM has also EARNED hundreds of thousands of dollars from streaming POE. A reminder for everyone to not shit where you eat.

From what I've read, PoM is a repeat offender. He has been warned. Other streamers have talked about the loot drops, decision making and the state of minion play. They don't rage and hate in a unhinged way on GGG employees.

Sure, isn't that what society is about? If all your friends are racists, and don't care what racist shit you say for example, maybe "outrageous" isn't "outrageous" to you.

Not really significant to others, because they have an opinion too, but sure you can totally be ok with what PoM said. Doesn't mean anyone else has to, especially in the private sector.

Point is that he is an adult, and is responsible for how he conducts himself (especially if he has been contracted with GGG for marketing, like sponsored streams)

He said some absolutely dumb shit, and now reaps the consequences. He has since apologized, but seems to be too little too late. GGG doesn't need toxic people like him. Don't feel even remotely sorry for him.

I spent a ton on Heroes of Newerth. Haha. I really liked that game. It just fizzled out. Nice hearing about the game again, you never run into anyone who has played it. lol.
