Moderate players don't give a hoot about loot 1st week of launch. Glad zoomer doomers are leaving.
Regarding on the concerns about how does the high-end players getting a lot of loot will benefit moderate players, I recommand you check out the new video of Path of Matth. He kind of explained how it actually helps.
Beside, there are more concerns other than the loot thingy. E.G.: Archnemesis rares are not balanced The secret nerf not mentioned in the patch note Stuff relating to Harvest The new league mechainics is dispointing in general the list goes on....... I don't really know what does it have to do with the progress or play time to the problems we have. People are going to the same end game system. It's just that some people are there faster, earlier to realise there's a problem. The problems are there, but to not ruin your mederate players' mood, should the so-called high-end players just sit there and wait until mid-league to raise the concerns? I don't get the point, really. |

" As a moderate player; I'd say you're simply wrong and have glaringly failed to try to look at the issue in an even-handed matter. You also completely skipped over many of the complaints. The failures are major failures of QA; this was not release ready. It wasn't a complete crashing mesh ofc (I've seen games like that on release) but it wasn't in good shape either; it needed quite a bit of polishing and several important fixes which should 100% have been found by any competent QA. That they weren't is a failure, and means they were rushing an incomplete product out. They're also engaging in poor design decisions. Don't hate on people just because they're annoyed at a company for screwing up, when not screwing up would've been as simple as doing nothing. |

" what game are you playing??? people left the league in two days, only addicted whales remained. in a matter of HOURS there were already people lvl 100 and with dps higher than 20kk. These changes broke the game for new players and the loot mainly punishes casuals and softcores, who plays 20h/day is not affected in ANYTHING and everything is focused on that, GGG is targeting the Chinese P2W and in its centrifuge it is rejecting players casuals who don't spend all their money and time here. the game has been declining since bligth and the point of no return was ultimatum, this league is unplayable. That's why it's the worst player loss ever, the curves look worse than the D3 leagues 5 days ago and more than half of the players are gone and that's a fact |

My opinion is that this game has always been light on the loot- with an exception to certain league mechanics who were very rewarding in the past.
People always got rich from crafting utilization and exploitation, and also running the alt-tab market from their hideout. All of my least favorite leagues have been those that seemed dry on loot. At some point I felt like both currency drops and maps got just a little too rare for my likeing. But this is just my opinion. I have over 3k hours but I am considered a casual at this game. I still play it and enjoy it, it's just been lackluster for me lately and so I haven't bought any MTX for 3-4 leagues now. tldr: since thats what cool kids do: I play this game almost exclusively for the loot... as I do any aarpg. This game has an incredible skill tree and build diversity, but at the end of the day... its the thrill of getting drops tbh. Last edited by DeathPunch79#7219 on Aug 24, 2022, 5:44:41 PM

I am a moderate player I take whole weekend of launch to reach maps and close to 2 weeks to reach end game bosses and then either quit or keep playing with depending on if I like the league or not and try out a new build except that these changes to loot just mean I will have less currency to try out new builds and will take much longer to reach the same goals I could previously reach in a timely manner while top players will not be affected as much because they breathe path of exile ao you do not speak on my behalf you're just a selfish player who is jealous of top players being able to achieve more than you and are too blinded by your jealousy to understand that ggg is mostly screwing over us moderate players with these changes

I love that this guy insists he speaks for others.
Does anyone who plays more than OP no longer qualify as moderate? I hit 60-100 hours on average per league, where do I place in your scale? To say moderate players don't care about 1st week loot is laughable. Any early drops you can obtain can have a larger impact in your interactions with trade. As an example, you get a tabula week one, it is worth less for trade the further into the league we get as are most leveling uniques. The currency drop rate had me at around 15 alchs going into yellow maps when I normally have 70-80. EDIT: This was also with me avoiding their use since I had so few and wanted to make sure I could get atlas passives. I feel fairly confident as someone who has played since 2013 and never had more than 2-3 exalts at a time in league you speak purely for yourself and maybe specifically some people you play with. I have probably never had more than 5-6 exalts total in a league and I could feel the reduced drop rate in the first 48 hours of the league. Moderate players absolutely give a hoot about loot in week one.
The racers buy their gear, buy the currency, buy the items they find via RNG while basic farming to upgrade their builds. This game is one giant food chain (outside of SSF), GGG bases all drop values on percentages of players engaging in said activity, they want X drops per Z players per Y time. Guess what happens when the people at the end stop filling them metrics? demand stays the same, because the casuals haven't quit right? the 90% still want their upgrades and items, except it's not being farmed intensely enough now to fill that demand. Guess what happens when the top 10% aren't bulk buying crafting currency, fossil's, essences, alt qual gems, well rolled uniques that were a lucky drop for one of the 90%, you get the drift right? You're delusional if you think the top 10% of the game quitting is a good thing, the game just got even more broken beyond GGG's own busting of it, you think they are going to increase drop rates to reflect joe casual killing an uber boss once a day rather than every 15mins? hell no they aren't. This is how games die. |

" [Removed by Support] I'm a moderate player and you dont speak for me, also I dont care if the streamers are 10x 100x 1000x richer than me. You seem to be very worried about how rich they are. Also, as a hardcore player, I'm very worried that Archnemesis monsters got buffed badly this patch and it seems like if the defensive layers dont work like they are supposed to due to the exaggerated buff AN monsters received. Being 1 hit killed out of nowhere even though I'm a very defensive player with tanky characters. Makes no sense. Cant play hardcore this way. This needs to be checked and balanced like it was in 3.18 at least. Last edited by Kane_GGG#0000 on Aug 24, 2022, 6:58:41 PM
