no, i just farm my atlas atm, trying to decide what old mechanic should prioritize to have some fun. The league mechanic we have is trash

even the nerf league wasnt as bad as this patch now. magic find dead af, rarity and quant so useless now. league mechanic doesnt drop any and only for the last one or two items it isnt rly worth runnig

Yeah this league is tragically bad at the moment.
The mechanic itself is woefully boring and uninspired. There have been worse league mechanics in the past to be fair, but at least they powered through with reasonable loot explosions to still make them fun. These are just boring and offer less loot than just plain mapping does so what's the point? Speaking of loot...it might just be my RNG but man it feels like they crushed the drop rates across the board. I have never in the 15ish leagues I have played in had fewer drops and it seems I am far from the only one experiencing this. Throw in an economy in shambles with the changes to ex/divines and unique drops and even trading is bad. Last and probably worst of all AN is still here plaguing the game. I had high hopes with the changes they listed, but for all their talk of reducing the number and making them more rewarding to kill there still seem to be just as many as previously and outside of exceedingly rare combinations popping up are just as terrible for drops. I have trouble finding even a single positive to take from this league. They finally fixed DD i guess might be the only one? Either way I'm calling it here for a week. Hopefully they figure something out by then to salvage this travesty. |

not really, the maps are so rippy. some archnem will one shot me from off map, its crazy, and the loot...or lack there of.

Just started SSFHC until I swap to HC and I am just avoiding it. Takes like 5min to get a couple rares and the mobs are more rippy than Act bosses. Possibly could just ignore the whole league mechanic this league.

I'm absolutely enjoying the league mechanic from a gameplay perspective.
The visuals are great, and the gradually increasing difficulty is also really nice. It's particularly enjoyable to try to push into the harder difficulties in party play. The building of the map has both "fire and forget" as well as "spend 5 minutes planning" for those who like puzzles. The map rotating to the angle in play is a nice touch, and overall the icons of the build-your-own map are a lot easier to read than the incursion ones. But the most amazing part of it is the complete absence of invisible, background map mods. There's no hidden massive crits or damage mods, there's no reflect with zero gameplay cue, there's no dying to a rippy mod that the host didnt warn you about. It all just scales up smoothly as you push inwards. My only criticisms are the reward structure (especially the minor reward chests in each area) feels very low, and the growing difficulty could use a visual environmental cue to signify the gradual increase in difficulty. If I were to offer a suggestion, it would be to make the tiles' visuals get progressively more raised as the areas get more difficult: ie. difficulty 1 has kind of watery/low ground, and no spires, and late difficulty has higher spires etc. Other than that it's a fun mechanic that allows you to push your build up to it's limit, and doesnt interrupt gameplay too much. The rewards are lacking, but outside of that, I'm having a great time both solo and in groups. | |

They made us test this for PoE2, they want us to have less loot, slow crafting. And they have the odasity to lie abou it. Kalandra name used for a joke, wasted character, with no loot, empty, boring league.I remember what you said after 3.15 fiasco, you lied.
All I can say, you won't get my support and support from my friends, unless in the future game goes back to 3.13 or something. I will keep playing, but won't support to be a constat beta tester. I had enough of this and I play from beta, never skipped a league, supported you in all ways, but enough is enough. You will need many leagues to get my trust back. 3.15 was a joke. 3.19 was a disaster. Archnemesis/Ruthless/Crucible(Archnemesis 4.0?) - worst ideas. Ruthless is a joke, a waste of resources. I've been giving it a shot but it's like a 2/10 lol. It has been completely useless as of now and isn't very fun to interact with. Kind of a bad combo.

I stopped running the itemized reflections due to uselessness and time waste. Was collecting them to run "when" they were buffed. As that's not really going to happen now, I will stop interacting with the mechanic in maps completely. You're supposed to do content in ARPG's because they are fun and rewarding. Currently this clicks neither fun nor rewarding. They're going to make this go core as well. Another worthless mechanic to shut off in future atlas trees, yay? |
