Are you enjoying the league mechanic?

Can we even call it a mechanic?

It's basically a waste of time. The mirror items are almost always worthless trash


The lake is slow, and unrewarding. The tablet is mostly pointless.

This is lazy design. After a league as fun and rewarding as sentinel this feels like they just sat on their hands for 6 months and did nothing.

I'm level 74 and have no desire to play league anymore.

Old content with archnemesis in a fucking terrain generator map. When you invest more time in balancing a game (like this is a fucking MOBA) the content you produce is shit. We seen that last two leagues. You want competition in the game, then separe Hardcore from softcore. Don`t ruin my time because the streamer X who plays this game as a job is actually finding it to easy...
I guess you will have to fund your upcoming expansions with streamers money, because I will not support you until you wake up from this shit road you took with characters balance from Expedition until Present.
No, the league mechanic is unrewarding and I haven't used anything from that silly mirror. I am glad, however, that they spent time making Act 1 more challenging.
Let's just say I'm happy with my choice to play SSF this league. So I won't really be frustrated with rewards. It does seem a though league for SSF though, but I'm taking it slow anyways.
But I can see this league being one of the biggest dropoffs in the past 2 years.
I was hoping this was like a Synthesis 2.0, but so far this feels on the extremely dull side compared to Synthesis which was on the complex and interesting side.
It's strange that a league with 2 flying robots (no one used the 3rd) felt so much more fun than building your own map. I guess 50% of the dull feeling comes from the single tileset.

My biggest issue stays with Archnemesis, I just had a bestiary pack with 2 mod beasts in act 3 or 4 I was literally unable to kill, I had to reset the zone cause I couldn't escape them without chain dying. The difficulty spikes are way too common to be called spikes. Leveling and early maps is at its most painful state in a long time, while endgame is probably in about its best state (it was for me last league anyways).
They really don't care to attract new players I guess until PoE 2?

I enjoys the mechanics of it.

The only big problem that just started to appear is, it takes a loooooooot of time to build. In acts, since it s fast to do one map and you get one per map and the square is smaller, you build one lake fast and you have the feeling to be in kalandra. But in maps, when you have to build a 5 by 5 and also to use the skip action on it, it s starting to get slower and slower to the point where you barely can remember when you did the last one. Would be cool if we could build them faster as we get higher in maps.
Absolutely unrewarding. Also extremely uninteresting mechanics. The worst is that the mirror items: they are trashier than regular rares!
ah also on the mirrored items, we had hopes cause we thought we would encounter the mirror where we can mirror our own items, but never seen this mirror once so far. so pure random stuff, vaguely usable but since you cant use any currency on it, it starts to get less and less attractive as you get into white and yellow maps.

I enjoy it, but I also am not an entitled gamer who expects RNG to work in my favour and I don't cry on reddit about tanky rares either

Nope.

And whatever they did with the acts.

Builds that usually manage it well just get walked all over.

Got a third - THIRD - character to the end of act two and the oversoul was so insanely buffed it was shooting the ice beam every few seconds with about 0.75 between beams.
A build that could take oak down in about 20 seconds could not even TOUCH the ads for the oversoul, much less the machine gun they turned that thing into.

To say nothing of the 'league mechanic' that is about as rewarding as ... well ... it isn't. I've never seen so little drop - EVER.
Rares **everywhere** and generally not too bad... a challenge. And then, suddenly, they're not a challenge, they're a wall that cannot be surpassed.

Defenses suddenly mean nothing whatsoever.

Yeah... I'm out.
Might try again next league, but after their performance the last few... I doubt it. They seem dead set to drive out everyone but the hardest core and the whales.

If they don't straighten the situation out so that non-hardcore players can actually enjoy the game their audience for Poe2 will be 1/10th what it is currently... and right now player numbers are dropping fast.
