Minions are dead, crafting is nerfed yet again, Divine apocalypse, but the worst part is...

^
I agree with this pretty harshly stated comment frankly, and i get a little irritated by the general wailings of doom.

They should make you sign a waiver, if you only follow builds created by other people you can't complain about balance changes because you never interacted with that balance to begin with :p

Wait a week (or farm with an acceptable character) and build creators will fix all your problems, same as always.
Everything that's not meta is essentially dead, right? Until Ghazzy makes a 4 billion DPS minion build, then all the copy pasta people who never understood how anything works in the game are shouting 'minions are OP !'
Minions will always be OP, as they basically play the game for you, it is in essence something you almost can't balance and no doubt it already caused a lot of PoE devs headaches if not migraines.

Everything is so dead I play the full three months on completely unviable, unplayable builds, year after year. At least according to short attention span internet people that seem to be literally dominating every medium available.

Good I hope they are...now all you band wagon players will go back to playing crap like tornado shot and stop driving minion stuff up in cost.
Evertyhing is dead, unplayable and not viable untill a streamer makes a build and guide for it.
Even with specific numerical buffs to some minions, the most popular ones got gutted by like 50%. They changed too much to kill the qol minion builds had. They used to have a lot of freedom when it came to gear. Now enjoy crafting hell.

First off
Spell supression needs like two wheels now.
Can't run aegis aurora because you need a minion shield. (At least on the endgame)
Defiance banner nerf really impacts minion survival.
Bone rings really suck. They compete with uniques and unset and have a bad implicit.

Absolution lost minion aoe wheel for a really bad crit one. But can make do with the mastery.
All minions lost like 20% life and damage
Minion unique changes mostly unremarkable (save like clayshaper for pure golem builds).

Like the sky hasn't fallen, just the bridge over the river.

I give it max 3 days of the league for the new builds/guides to appear and prove you wrong.

Also reminder that the crit wheel does not return people even 5% of the old minion crit chance. Because we lost power, frenzy and endurance charge minion exclusive effects. (Just the charges would put minions at around 100% crit chance now it is like 5% and crit wheel will put you to 8% or something low like that)

Also some minions had like 70% crit chance BASE value now they have 3% (in patch notes u can read which minions exactly)

If i remember right we also lost the brittle effects

it is mindblowing how people can read the patch notes and not connect the dots....

minions have been OBLITERATED. In multiple ways, from multiple directions. All these people screaming that's not true seem to have just looked at the straight skillgme "buff". Sure, certain minions (less popular for a reason...) were "buffed" but ONLY in their own gem. Besides that, power was nerfed all over the place, and not by a small amount...charge change alone cut easily 30% (if not more) minion power. Tree changes cut even more, necromancer gut cut even more, bone ring/shield is a blanket NERF because they will be utterly essential to achieve any kind of damage numbers and will completely gut survivability.

Minions were OP BECAUSE the investment into a minion build was astronomical. Gear was ridiculously expensive, but also popular to craft. This gives the non-minion playerbase a false sense of "power" in minions. Minions SCALED very well, but the actual minion build itself was very difficult and expensive to craft. Now it is borderline impossible.

If my minion dps is so supremely gutted that I now need to sit in front of enemies for significanty longer, while also having my own defenses gutted....i just can't see the silver lining.

Lets not forget that even before all of these changes, minion damage and life was gutted to the point where it's incredibly difficult to keep them alive in hard content even with god-tier gear.

The only OP summoner was mage skeletons.

Zombies were a joke, SRS is a joke, Phantasms are a joke, nobody cared about Spectres or AG outside of utility, Reaper was always worse than the minions you weren't allowed to use with it, skeleton warriors and archers haven't been viable since EE got gutted and moved along with the aura cluster jewel removal, never heard of any good builds using Dominating Blow or Absolution.

Add to the difficulty of Archnemesis with GGG just shoehorning that into the game, it's pushed every one of these further down in viability, leaving mage skeletons the only ones worth using.

And instead of doing the sensible thing by nerfing them, GGG decided to nuke the entire archetype by removing 580% crit chance, 33% attack and cast speed, and finally hit most minions that weren't even skeletons with stat nerfs to their respective gems.

And if that wasn't a kick in the balls, now the build's gonna be ungodly expensive to get off the ground, so say goodbye to league starter options. Even if you could get high rolls on the new bone rings and shields, there's no chance in hell you're going to be able to make back the huge amount of crit and attack/cast speed lost.

So please, tell me how summoners are OP and not dead.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

And you can bet there'll be a fuckton more non-summoner builds which can tackle things like W30 Simulacrum, uber league encounters, and uber pinnacle bosses for a much cheaper cost by comparison.
