2) Minions were the best viable Uber boss killers last league and could literally kill Sirus in 2 seconds.

Minions don't deal this much damage. Look at my VSS Char - literally best minion build. Glacier boss still has time to jump around. Let alone removing him as soon as he spawns.

Again, minions are only good at being decent on budget. Other char would have 3-4 times more damage and better defences on same budget.

I disagree. Stat stackers are one of the coolest builds around. What about them you found lmae? Strange take. You just arbitrarily declare that some archetype sucks.

What he finds lame is his basis for everything is where it ranks on poe ninja, a website he isn't on nor understands.
Holy Relics got a significant damage effectiveness buff and this was already a pretty good build. But it's not a traditional minion build, this one plays like a CoC character, with cyclone as main attack (and you have to calculate correct attack speed, as with any other CoC build)

I will leaguestart Holy Relics. Softcore trade league, goal is to get geofri's crest asap and then farm currency to craft a 6l staff - this requires metacrafting so it's a little expensive. I played this build in Ultimatum as a giant noob (thus with very little currency) and it was easily doing tier16 maps and not dying to ultimatum trials in those.

Idk what ascendancy to pick tho. Maybe Ascendant, picking Necromancer + Witch nodes and then Guardian? Idk.

People always checked after the first week or so, and cried because lot of people league start with minion builds. Just because it was so easy and low investment. You could easily run yellow maps with pickup rares...., but for most of the builds, thats how good it got. As you maxed out the tree by then, and had no way of scaling anymore.

Now we can scale that shit... So hold your bear on 'minions is dead' .

Ah yes, cause running AND pressing RMB makes a big difference. The game is just SO much more active when you are spamming your movement skill AND your dmg skill.

Well, the problem is that there are numerous other build types that are even faster than minions.

minions were good because the gearing process for them was comparatively simplistic and different from other builds.

And I think this is something to consider when saying if minion builds are dead.

GGG seems to be removing critical aspects about minion builds that differentiated them from other builds.

The interactions with EE was fun an novel. they removed it

The fact that minions got a ton out of individual charges was fun an novel. they are removing it.

Minion crit was a somewhat obtuse system that had flavorful quirks. Now its being made similar to every other crit system where we have to stack crit on passive nodes and gear. that is less interesting.

I don't know about the rest of you but i haven't really liked hows stupidly complicated the itemization has gotten in this game. you have so many mods behind specific pieces of content. Its why Og harvest felt so damn good since you could cut through all the bullshit.

By that same token I like how summoner itemization wasn't this ridiculous spider web of shit I had to remember.

I don't know I kinda distanced myself from the game a while ago due to the many fundamental shifts happening recently. Stuff like this makes me want to continue waiting on the sidelines until they get their shit sorted.
