Phrazz is absolutely right. Starting Trickster will be high risk high (eventual) reward. I'll be starting it anyway because I need to play something fresh and the new nodes are pretty exciting.

If you think that Slayer has 300k DPS, start with learning how to use PoB. It has reliable 10M DPS and if I would put Abyssus on it (which I do for bosses) it can reach up to 18M Sirus DPS.
Here is how it looks like with The Gull equipped (so in relity stats are much higher thanks to shrines during mapping and this is also Sirus DPS)

This makes a lot of sense - something like CoC can scale to ridiculous damage levels, so for something like that, Trickster might be great.
Was thinking CoC myself. But I was also thinking BV or EK, which are pretty average skills - until you really can invest into them, as they can more or less be scaled into oblivion.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Why people prefer suppression over blocking? It is more reliable.
Sure it's not. 75% of the block chance means your charcter will die in 25% of hits, while SUppression is not RNG-based.

Yeah exactly, there is also no block duration, block recovery time and stuff like that.
I also believe supression prevents more damage because it can supress Dots (ignite, bleed..)
and dot is true killer in this game, can not remember last time something like melee hit killed me. But i do remember degen pool reducing me from 100% to 0% in instant. :^)
But yeah, main reason is that it is simply relliable.

Suppression makes you take less spell damage. I don't think it works against all DoT effects (if any?).

It "works" against spell damage that creates DoT based on the hit; ignite (if not ignite immune), poison based on chaos spells and bleeds based on physical spells (if that exists). But other than that; yes, Spell Suppression in hit-based.

Now I'm really curious what boxes you check in PoB to get there.

That is the point. The outcome is more predictable. Also with suppression if you are hit and see half of your life gone, you know you are in the wrong place and react accordingly. However, with block you may be lucky to avoid two or three hits, but you have no clue how dangerous is until the next hit kills you.

9 overlaps, you have to edit brittle in as PoB doesn't understand brittle ground, trinity, frenzies, close range, i'd disable vaal warchief and leave it as regular as its more accurate.
Looks decent enough, can't see how you can get it to 18mil without some Copium but its at 7.5mil in 100% realistic stats which is excellent, obviously get more for changing the gull out to a real hat when bossing.
Best stat at this stage looks like elemental penetration not that that's easy to get and I feel a bit too much damage is being left on the table from missing conversion, probably a job for hatred watchers eye if you were investing further.
Overall very solid gets a pass from me, would happily play this on HC too if I assembled enough pieces, a little crutched on Brittle for my taste but not as bad as some builds i've seen. Nice to see non scuffed builds people forget you can actually make this shit work lmao
Edit: Missed 2 spikes for the helm enchant there is the 10mil he mentioned.
