I'm not upset about the nerfs at all, and I think most of them hit the mark. I'm "upset" that GGG keep failing melee, and that the "buff" they are giving certain skills show that they have no clue, just like certain other people in here. Cleave (and most other melee skills) are not "alright". If they were, they would be played.

You don't owe anyone anything. But if you expect people to take your opinion seriously, then you should be able to back it up somehow. Your lack of end game experience definitely undermines your point significantly. People requesting you back up your opinion with some proof seems reasonable; as that gives you the opportunity to fortify your position in spite of your lacking public achievements in end game anything. Otherwise it just seems like an uninformed opinion that isn't worth the time to read, let alone debate.

How are you Assessing it?
Your profile characters don't fill me with a sense you have a clue what you're talking about.
Melee is not, fine, good, OK, or any other positive word you want to pick, its in terrible shape compared to non melee skills.

That may be where your disconnect is. You're comparing it to other melee skills, and that's not the correct comparison. It should be compared to all skills, and with that point of view, it pales in comparison.
Melee skills don't need to repeat what other skills do, but they should have shine somehow and not feel terrible relative to everything else.
