Want to share why I'm losing interest in the game on the daily basis
" my point from other posts also applies here, ggg implemented trading but don't really wants you to trade. i could never be bothered selling currency cause i love playing the game more and pricing (and adapting to the market) for all that stuff is too tiresome. i got over 100 premium and 20 quad tabs but i would be stupid if i used them all for selling my junk. i rarely buy or flip items cause the process of buying stuff is too time consuming. -- i would sell currency if i could sell it while playing the game. i would use all 260 stash tabs if i could sell from them directly. i would flip items if i could setup some program to auto buy and sell from a auction house and if it were allowed. -- imho, currency drop rates and the whole economy are balanced under the assumption that the majority of people don't trade. most people keep what they find and let it drop to standard cause it's too few to upgrade your char to farm endgame bosses and it's too much already to give up farming for some more. if powerful players can make people trade more, the game has to adapt. and players will not like it. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Crafting your own gear is more rewarding than finding it on the ground imo. Good luck finding a rare hunter chest with extra curse and t1 crit with life and dual res. If you don't like trading then ssf seems like your cup of tea. GGG has given the solution already. |

GGG doesn't care about the player experience, in trade or in the gameplay. They make that abundantly clear patch after patch, sadly.
I don't understand the thinking behind it, since it's obviously losing money and reducing the player base. |

" it's not about the playerbase as a whole, just the ones who are most likely to spend money. same way mobile games include crazy monetisation that drives away huge amounts of potential players in favour of a few whales. they're not interested in growing the player base anymore, just keeping the whales addicted. |

If you're losing interest in the game, take a break. Maybe even leave the game for good. The only healthy type of gaming is that in which you play for fun, according to the latest science even, should that be relevant to anyone who can't think for themselves. If you feel like you need to play the game because of any other reason than that, then you're probably just looking at some kinda addiction.
A few of these points you can resolve yourself. Buy a new rig if you're lagging from having a browser open - if you're poor enough for that to be a problem, then you should probably be looking at getting an income instead of playing games. *shrug* And don't leave your map for cheap trades... This one is also not the game developers' fault, it's merely you not getting the hint whenever you don't have any portals left. |

" And this is exactly by you sometimes need to message 36 people for items where the price is lower then 5c... They don't get out of the map for cheap trades, but they don't seem to u der stand you shouldn't list them either of you not planning to get out a map for them... High value items usuly one cost 1 pm and rarely 2.. But the cheaper.... The more you get into the spam zone haha |

" Which is all well and good, and I agree that it does feel more satisfying to get something yourself (it's why I loved pre-nerf Harvest as much as I do). However, poor itemization really cuts into the enjoyment of that. The game is riddled with so much garbage drops that the odds of you getting things you want is infinitesimally worse than if you had just traded for it. I think if Chris wants people to trade less, the first thing they should do is make item drops better. They gave us a taste of what that could be when they added smart loot for talismans and Heist rewards. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. Last edited by Pizzarugi#6258 on Aug 5, 2022, 8:19:22 AM

dont trade. not like you need it nowadays with all the loot pinatas. I traded until Gen 2 then whole new fun game opened up with no trade.

" I seriously hope that was a typo... That's 3.42 years without any sleep breaks... |

" i would call it "difficult itemisation" and difficulty is part of every game. "bad itemisation" would be if there are only few item options for most of the builds (apart from chase items) but, like with spell suppression and the "explody chest fix" they're onto that already. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
