Am I the only one who thinks that Path of Exile 2 is better than Diablo 4?

It's literally just a better game, everyone knows that.

It's unlikely that anyone anywhere has been able to play both of them in their current state, but okay.

Seriously though, D4 only needs to be "pretty good", an overall improvement over D3, and offer a smooth and accessible gameplay experience for PoE to possibly be left on shaky ground. The one area where D3 has always been and remains miles ahead of PoE is in the smooth and accessible gameplay experience.

If D4 continues to offer that while also improving in other important areas, PoE will have some very stiff competition. And on an ongoing, long-term basis rather than just a launch-rush if Blizz does also continue to support and expand the game better than they did with D3. That's what they say they're going to do, but who knows at this point.

Real competition is good though at any rate. I hope to greatly enjoy both D4 and the next iteration of PoE.

well, at very least d4 as a fresh released game should be quite grounded- by that i mean balanced, intuitive, everything should work and you will be able to do whatever you want as it was in poe.
PoE will not have any sort of competition from D4. I mean cmon, who in its right mind would still believe that Blizzard can produce a decent game? And even if the initial game is good - well then people will play it for 3 months, we might have one season with less players in PoE and then everything is back to normal because despite whatever Blizzard-Fanboys will believe, they weren´t able to produce a in-depth endgame worthy to play in roughly 15 years. They were able to get away in Starcraft as your ultimate endgame is not the campaign rather the multiplayer-competition but their so-called 150 dungeons will not all be endgame and most likely not hard. There is no way in my mind that D4 will impact PoE for a longer period simply because PoE has the far better endgame.

The core audience of both games is different its like comparing magic the gathering with UNO both are card games but on completly different level of complexity. Each game attracts a different kind of player with different expectations.

Theirs no way that D4 will have a complex character building system and complex itemization. Both things are against what Blizzard stands for since the very first big game they released, its just not what they are doing.

They didnt say how big those 150 dungeons are and/or if those dungeons are created by 10 randomized tile sets.

Looking at other Blizzard titles you will most likley have:

- Daily quests that want you to log in every day for a small reward after loggin in for 2 or 3 weeks

- A lot of multiplayer activities will give out rewards for just taking part in them, but because of that everything you can get from those activities will be mediocre.

- The endgame will most likley be defined by a endless feedback loop of doing the exact same thing over and over again with no real variation.

A lot of guys here act like you never played a modern Blizzard title and forgot how they work...

Lul preaching to the choir brotha. I agree with vennto on this one, I just watched those gameplay vids from poe2 from last year and, yeah, it looks like more PoE but with better shit.

Looking at d4 and saying the same is NOT a compliment I mean the blizz devs acting like they were the first to discover attributes, emphasizing mtx and character customisation, raids, like wtf this ain't WoW.

Showing that "better version" of an unique with a bigger overall number, talking about the horadric cube (kanai cube?) version in d4 like it's a whole new deal? Damn boys the disconnect is real.

Granted pvp looks decent on paper, too bad I don't indulge lol.

Non of them is released yet so there' no telling. BUT since Blizzard is a bunch of clowns I'll bet on PoE 2 any day.
There is no realistic way a decades old game, with a shotty engine and performance issues galore competes with a next-gen Diablo and all the polish with it.

Not to mention PoE2 is mainly a new optional side campaign to PoE1. They both have the same shared endgame, which, let's be real, has gotten very stale.

If you want stuttering juiced T16 maps after you unlock the atlas for the next 20 leagues, have at it I guess. Not me.

I'm very much looking forward to the newest next advanced arpgs, it's just a massive plus that its Diablo.

Idk man, a large part of me is getting really sick of the only combat in poe being screen explosions, and the gigantic bloat in general of poe.

A fresh start and slower combat is very enticing.

Of course as the universe's cruel joke, one half has better combat and much less bloat, the other has fantastic itemization and build customization, and the two seem to be fated to never meet :(
