there is no way they let sentinel into the core game
" With that logic lets remove basic currency/essences/influences because you use it basically every time you craft something. Recombinators are great and they should stay. It's not like you can make mirror items in two steps. Who cares if top tier players can have it easier to make mirror tier gear. I couldn't care less if they have mirrored piece in every slot. I care about me and vast majority of playerbase that really need reasonable ways to make decent gear and maybe luck out from time to time. Stop with elitist mentality, it's killing this game rapidly. Sentinel is dope, let it stay and kick out torment to take over it's place in the game, recombs are obviously a bit strong so perhaps remove them.
Tho i would be sad if they went away they are really fun. [Removed by Support]
Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them “The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” |

" Your logic very weird. How is crafting the same as pushing one button to get extra loot? Im talking about the buffing from "robot", not the recombinators. Im fine with recombinators being added to the drop pool. Sentinel is literally like influence on the map, if you are not clicking that one button while running maps, you are just losing currency. " Oh that, yeah. I would much more prefer not to mess with them and to have their drop buff averaged over map. Sentinels are just fluff/bloat, they add nothing of substance to the game. People have already forgot how plentiful and good was 3.17. What ggg did is that they gutted base drop and transfered it to Sentinels. So it's "oh wow Sentinel op" suddenly. One of the reasons i liked 3.17 is that i could focus on actual play and get rewards than micromanaging crap every map. Archnemesis i even stopped doing after 10 days or so. I hate mashing extra 3 keys and micro them every few maps. It's just pain in the ass, there is no fun in them whatsoever at least for me. Sentinel is basically Delerium but you have control over the drops. I could see it going core, but it would probably be changed so the only place to get the sentinel drops is from league mechanics or sentinel chests which would probably be made like 8% per map like other mechanics. This would allow you to maybe keep sentinel uptime on maps but you wouldn't have nearly as much control over which sentinels you could use and would spend a lot of time running ones without specific reward chances, unless you invested in some new atlas passive wheels for it. They could also move the equipment slots into the sentinel controller so it's not cluttering the equipment tab.
That said, I don't think it's likely to go core. I hope it will, and I could see a way for them to do it, but this feels like a basic throwaway league and I wonder if some of these assets weren't created back for that cyberpunk league idea they were toying with internally before they switched to Heist. |

Sentinel is best received league mechanic in years, if you think it is not going core you are wrong. It makes zero sense from business perspective. Will it take a hit? Most likely.

the ward mechanic was a nice addition to the game, my only regret is that the only real thing it does is give the game the drop it should have and that was removed by the nerf

Sentinel shouldn't go core because its so simple it doesn't add anything to the game, you could replicate its results with any league mechanic or just a general loot buff if you actually wanted to.
To cover this in another sentence, I don't think push button for loot is the kind of mechanic i'd bake in. Its simplicity causes problems for other mechanics. Recombinators though are the big question, personally I think they are fine having had 0 successes in about 50 uses but I know players will be all over the spectrum on this one. I hope they dissect this fucking league to the point that you cant recognize it anymore.
BUT TIL THEN ILL SPIN2WIN WITH MUH COCMEISTER. Still sane exile?

They could implement Sentinel without the physical sentinel tokens...
Each map could have a 8% chance to be "sentinel". A button appears and you push it when you want, activating the sentinel, which would have random mods. |
