But nvm. It's simple. You dont want to trade? Just dont. Noone force you to use AH.
That's a very simplistic view, and not at all in touch with reality. An AH would not be an optional element, but would impact game balance. See my first post in this thread. It doesn't matter if it was just for consumables.

Impact game balance? You mean the game would be more accessible to plebs like me and the elite will be lesser elite because items become more accessible.
I am one of those people who hardly trade because i cannot be bother to spam 50 people to buy an item or leave maps to sell a cheap shitty item. Not implementing a trade system is because the whales and ggg want to keep that fake elitism of theirs.
ps: I would sign if i didn't have to leave my mail adress, get enough spam of hacked websites all-ready.

We have 2022, every new user in order to play properly PoE need to have a few external tools?
Now imagine playing on a console? You can search market items in the game? Did you know that? :O
Why it's not in the PC version? Still, this is not giving you the possibility to buy items directly (the seller needs to accept the offer ) but hey seems like technology is here.
I play on console, currently it's not that great, but it's better than Nothing. Trouble on console there is lot's of "pricefixers" who never will sell the items. There is some solution, and that was to auto trade if asking price is equal to offering price. Currently the seller have to press accept to fullfill the trade. Sadly I think that GGG think this will be too easy.
The best would be if pc got implemented the same trade system as console and make atleast trade crossplay as Console market is pretty toxic as it is now.
Also auto accept trade if offer price is same as Asking price... But why make the game perfect?

You chose a quiet time for this. Not many people on the forums anymore. We definitely need this.

We were forced to unveile items in each league. After a few leagues, ggg makes the system less annoying. It was the same with trying to get ahead. And it's time to trade. Only today am I spend more time buying scarabs for juice from my maps than it was worth. I realized that if I had invested in "alch and go" at the same time, I would have had more profit ... For who is it made for? Party only? Softcore trading is not optional, it's necessary. And it must be easyer and more availeble for whole kind of players who decide to meet tthe game. You know it.

If you, ggg dont want to make fully functional AH give us AH for consumable items only. It wont kill bargaing but will it make game smoother and funner.
You're incorrect...
The game has two types of players, those that trade, and those who don't. Currently trade is balanced so both types can play without the game being too easy or too hard (exclude the 0.01%). Introduce more trade, even just for consumables, and you kill that balance.
PoE drops SO much loot (consumables and others) that opening up trading in any of them would completely swamp the market. Supply is far greater than demand, but the current trade system keeps most of it off the market.
Free trade would lead to some major imbalance in power between trading and non-trading players. GGG would have to increase overall game difficulty to keep the game challenging for trading players, but that would kill the game for non-trading players. Or, they could keep the game challenging for non-trading players, and kill the game with boredom for trading players.
Also... No game EVER kept players by giving them instant gratification...
Okay, what if the stipulation to use the market board is you have to be actively online. If you are AFK for more than an hour (or offline) your item becomes delisted.
That makes it so people mapping are able to sell -- people not playing after an hour their stuff is delisted temporarily.
Problem solved. We just don't have to leave our maps to deal with trading garbage lol.

Actually it's pretty good idea. Of Course there will be 1% who will abuse that but whatever. I'm sure that is not a problem. I hope that GGG join to discusion and not only limit to manifesto post from 2017...

Whatever artificial limitation GGG try to implement will be circumvented and gamed by the bots before you can say 'automation'...
