PoE mobile vs Diablo Immortal release
" I can only speak for myself, but I play mobile games and PC games, and console games. I dont get this notion the other guy has that people only play one platform of games and dislike other stuff. I mean, I've played Summoners War for like 4 years now. Doesnt stop me from playing say, PoE off and on since CB, LoL, CS:Go, D3, WoW, you name it. I dont agree with that guy either that the gaming platform players are that divided. |

I think anyone claiming PC gamers won't also play mobile games is projecting their own prejudices and limited experience, plain and simple.
And it's not just PC gamers who'll play mobile gamers -- it's PC game developers (I know, the horror!). What, you think PC developers go home after sitting at a PC for 10+ hours and then play PC games in their precious spare time? Fuck no. They play silly, low demand phone games to decompress. And DI, while not really 'silly', is pretty low demand as a basic gameplay experience (but probably higher demand than, say, Candy Crush Saga). If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

" Videogames developers are actually on the rise since covid, its one of the few industries that benefited from it. The point i was trying to make was badly explained tho, i admit, i was more focused on the last 2 days in particular. Stock market is not great for apraising quality, but its awesome to measuring hype behind a product. Since DI was announced with a definite release date that is close by, we SHOULD have seem AT LEAST a lesser decline of the stocks But nope, the announcment didnt moved the tendency even a tiny bit. Its a VERY strong indication that at least the general perception is that nobody holds any expectation towards DI(or straight up expects a flop) But if you dont want to take it that way, fine... Another measure then: Youtube viewers The average views of any official video regarding anything DI related on the last 3 years usually stays at 100k views on average, the gameplay preview gathered 200k views(i think?) standard interviews from developers tend to fluctuate in the 70 to 150k mark, I just checked the release date announcment, currently sits at 250k views Thing is... for a developer on the caliber of blizz, saying those numbers are bad is an understatment! THESE NUMBERS ARE TERRIBLE!!! For comparison, everything overwatch-related news when it was about to be released raked views in 8 million mark, stuff regarding D4 dont go below 2 million mark, the gameplay footage from D4 sits at almost 6 million. Everything blizzard-related is expected to gather views in the millions, even if you give lenience for being an offspin title, it still should be able to AT LEAST break the 500k barrier! Struggle to break the 200k barrier is straight up abysmall by blizzard standards, its a mark suited for indie developers! Even PoE big updates rakes more viewers! Siege of the atlas broke the 200k mark! Thats how bad it is IDK how the other guy can say DI is being well recieved, what i see from my perspective is at best cold indifference... |

Speaking of projecting... how in the fuck is this "the community reacts"
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3264149 Ugh the Twitch = The PoE community fallacy, it's so damn cringe. I almost wanted to start a thread about it, but frankly the energy involved in decrying the Twitch situation on gaming is basically an exercise in futility. I will be slightly amused when a number of PoE community streamers use their platform to highlight the DI release in June. Money talks, and Remoras swim. " Um there are over 30 MILLION pre-registers, and it's got more than a month to go. In what universe is this "cold indifference" https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2022/04/diablo-immortal-was-built-for-mobile-but-now-its-coming-to-pcs-too/ "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" Dude do you even know about shadowverse? Its a quite obscure mobile card game, it also raked more than 70 million users, you are gonna tell me THAT is the standard blizzard shoud aspire??? Freaking majhong soul have 5 million users, 30 million is nothing to be proud of when it comes to mobile library |

" Dude, the youtube video with the most views regarding DI is the booing on blizzcon You talking about PoE community being cringe? Caldron? Keetle? Black? |

Ha!
Sure DI launch will be met with cold indifference, and PoE streamers represent the community. Have fun fishing! "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

" Dude, you talk about cringe just now? Do i really need to point out you relinquished try to counter points and are now just posting empty attacks? |

" Dude, I did post counterpoints with sourcing and you so easily dismissed them, I cannot take it seriously. 30 million registered user before a game is even out projects into the low 9 figure active range post launch. (granted it's their first mobile title so maybe more, maybe less. IDK) However, cold indifference is a delusional viewpoint, and wasn't worth the effort imo. You can hate all you want on Blizzard and DI, but that doesn't change anything. Maybe I will be wrong and this post won't age well, or maybe you will look totally ridiculous. I guess we will see in a few weeks. Also if you really believe that a streamer, or set of streamers actually represent an entire community, I don't know what else to tell you. Honestly you really comes across as trolling for a reaction. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
