[Serious] Please reconsider bossfights required for voidstones next league
" Trappers were gutted after incursion... If not for explosive arrow ignite I doubt anyone would really be using ballista totems and the change to soul mantle was probably the nail in the coffin for your generic spell totem. Minions has been hit several times, and at this point its basically the safer but boring build. Mines have stayed relatively decent afaik but there's potentially more to dislike than with the minion builds. I got into poe to see if I wanted to get into D3. After seeing how cookie-cutter D3 had become (compared to D2) I ended up sticking with PoE. The drawback with having such a complex tree is that power is constantly shifting. Don't get me wrong - I don't like that maven is still holding the last voidstone I need, but most players are playing some variation of a build that's already been established to be at least "reliable". My dislike for the fight is a bit of Sirus syndrome --- where dying once ends up costing me multiple portals most of the time just getting back in. While its not quite death beam from off screen, the memory game is hard to recover from if you lose your place and just spirals from there. Yep, totally over league play.

" if you fail/die in memory game and the memory phase doesnt end, just dont move or do anything when you entered the zone the immunity when you enter lasts long enough to cover the whole memory game duration |

" Are we also going to ignore that there are still yellow maps on the atlas which wasn't a thing when you had 16 watchstones? T14 used to be the minimum. We may have more T16s, but we overall lost more maps since many are below T14. And let's not forget, again, that the old atlas let us max out our watchstones a lot more easily by fighting T14+ conquerors and letting Sirus be optional. Going from conquerors to aspirational bosses like Uber Elder and Maven is one hell of a leap forward in difficulty. This isn't some "just fight some different bosses 5head" argument. This is "you need to juice the hell out of your build to get back what you previously had access to". If 2 voidstones made every map T14 minimum, I'd argue this wouldn't be as problematic. In fact, it would allow some endgame map flexibility for players with weaker builds. Currently, however, we have less maps to play with than we did before. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds. Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! " Thanks for that - I think I've been conditioned by uber to expect the window of invulnerability to end too quickly. Yep, totally over league play.

" the immunity lasts a full min,its just important that you dont do anything afer entering the portal another thing that might be usefull you can recover life from instant life flasks even when hit by the beams in the last phase it blocks all life recovery over time, but not instant Last edited by ciel289#7228 on Apr 24, 2022, 2:47:12 PM

Sirius should drop voidstone since he is our all time favorite villian (not joking). |

" It took me two or 3 tries after that info (I didn't even look and just thought it was another 8s window). I'm sure I'd get the memory game eventually but I'm not fond of playing simon says while weaving around obstacles and getting shot at I think.... that and a less outdated computer. But yeah, definitely feel its a bit much to lock out the stone for sextants - would probably be less annoyed if it wasn't one of the challenges I could have finished ages ago otherwise. Yep, totally over league play.

" i think the memory game is a fun concept but it really doesnt fit in the ARPG genre. in most other games where there is a memory game, players can REATTEMPT the memory game. in a maven encounter, if you fail YOU DIE. if you dont want to die, you burn a precious portal. also players.. like myself. we're getting old. i really loved these sort of challenges but now i see myself being more forgetful. on top of that, in her final phase, we're supposed to dodge her beams and there might be some dot puddles. its too distracting. Yeah -- I had some bad degen placement from the balls spawning after death so it compounds the issue. It stops being just memory but everything else. While I get the idea of it of pushing the challenge, I'd rather the loot be good enough that no unlock is needed to justify the risk.
The only reason I was able to get through it was the fact that the writ is under 100 chaos so failure wasn't AS painful with league almost over. But I also had to rely on doing a decent amount of damage while dead. It probably wouldn't be as bad if flasks were the way they were when I was last in league, but eh. Yep, totally over league play.
