Displaying the mod level/tiers on an item on the ground has been removed. Could you roll it back???

I guess it's either 1 or 48,000. Nothing in between, right?

I'd really like to see this rolled back aswell. It's a massive waste of time each and every time a) an item with a essence/temple roll drops (far more common with the new atlas tree) or b) a unique with wildly varying value based on rolls drops.
The more puzzling and important point is that there doesn't seem to be any real reason to have done this. It's not as if being able to see rolls on the ground was overpowered, it was just a timesaver. 99% of the time it didn't even matter - until that 1% came around and it really did. i just dont understand. if the change is to stay, id love to see some explanation at least. thank you. |

A change like this makes no sense from a gameplay standpoint. Advanced mod descriptions have always shown when holding the highlight key, and still do (in the inventory). Why would they behave any differently for items on the ground?
The reasonable thing to do is to acknowledge that the current state we're at is simply an unwanted side effect of removing the option to show or hide advanced mod descriptions (which in itself is fine, everyone should've been using "show" anyway) - and to fix it to work like it did ever since advanced mod descriptions were introduced (what was it, five years ago now?). Send me your deer-related inquiries!

This is an awful change that no one asked for, no one wants, and is entirely a regression from existing behavior for seemingly no reason. Please revert.
