But can't you see? His subjective interpretation of "P2W" is of course the "right one". Everyone else's interpretation is "the wrong one". His whole thread relies on it, to fit his narrative.

Anyhow, as I've said earlier: I don't care how people label PoE. I can see how some people would call it P2W. I can see how others don't. What's important, is how these "grey area elements" are implemented. And there's nothing in the game that gives you direct power. There's nothing in the game you can buy over and over again to yield more and more power. There's nothing that gives you XP boost or damage boost.

If people are going to claim that cheap stash tabs that you don't really need many of at all, are "unethical" in today's F2P market, they are simply wrong. If people are hellbent on comparing PoE to the real "sinners" when it comes to P2W, they are also simply wrong.

Threads like this are often made by people that can't see the difference between "free" and "free to play" and think that developers are in the human aid business, and not in the money making business.

Very close. There's actually been some good stuff in there though. People have tried to explain stuff that they feel matters. It didn't work, but they tried. That's important.

The OP made a one dimensional argument and got a tesseract-flavoured spaghetti response from Yours Truly. Not that I even tried to counter their argument because quite frankly an opinion isn't an argument, but it gave me an excuse to cut loose and fool people into thinking a bunch of words tied together with the supersillystring of my incessant discontent is an essay. Ohohohoho what folly.

In the OP's defence, they seemed to appreciate my efforts once I went full notice-me-senpai mode.

Also apparently it's been a lovely day for days now, which is news to me given it's been raining so hard here we've had historic flooding up and down the coast. Oh, and the unusual amount of water has also increased the risk of 'Japanese encephalitis' from mosquitos. Have to admit, didn't have THAT one on my 2022-is-a-piece-of-shit-and-it's-only-March bingo card. :)
