GET OWNED ASPIRING SHOPPER!! Learn to trade! Buy stash or lose items because of slow trade system intentionally kept to inflate player storage by slow moving economy (finding/listing/trading) of items. Lose dozens of hours weekly compared to people who buy special tabs which make their farming more efficient. It's Not P2W, because buying things that give time advantage over players, is NOT play to win, it's just "mild convenience qol"

You're spending "dozens of hours weekly" trading? That's nuts. You should really seek help. Spending money on stuff doesn't make a game P2W. You have to understand the difference... because you ignore any attempts to explain it to you. P2W games are a whole different level of money buying strength in the game. You can't even compare PoE's stash tabs to P2W games out there.

Stalling on maps and poor balance of the endgame combined with drops and endgame balanced around trading constantly.
Want to make a new build and find I haven't accumulated much money which means I need to grind with my old build for an extended amount of time...
Two-handed - Mop
Dual Wield - Slippers
One-handed & Shield (close combat) - Brush & Basin
One-handed & Shield (ranged) - Hair Dryer & Mirror
Main-hand & Off-hand (evil witch) - Sponge & Soap
I get burnt out by the fact that playing the game is a suboptimal way to upgrade my character.

Currently I need an "Augment Cold" harvest craft. I ran 20 maps with the "Area contains Sacred Grove" Sextant and the "guaranteed Yellow field" Sextant. I didn´t get ANY "Augment" or "non-X to X" craft. And I know what you think. "20 maps? That´s not a lot" and you´re right. But look at it another way: 20 maps with Sacred Grove-sextant means 20 guaranteed gardens. WITHOUT the sextant, but full passive tree investment, you have a 10% chance to encounter the Sacred Grove. That means 20 gardens equal 200 maps. But with the "guaranteed plants of a specific colour"-sextant you get more fields, so 20 gardens WITH sextants are more like 30 gardens WITHOUT sextants - or 300 maps. But the "specific colour"-sextant gives you AT LEAST twice the amount of fields of the colour you want - which means 20 gardens WITH sextants roughly equate to 600 maps WITHOUT sextants. 600 MAPS! That´s what casual players run over the course of an entire league. And you can cram this amount into 20 maps, by buying or rolling the correct sextants. But to get 5 "Sacred Grove"-sextants and 5 specific "specific colour"-sextants you will need about 600 to 800 sextants (based on my personal experience of rolling about 10.000 awakened sextants since 3.17 launch). That costs about 15 to 20 Exalt in Standard SC and slightly more in Archnemesis SC (16 to 21.5ex). For 20 maps! AND no return in the form of what I am looking for, namely the Augment Craft. Don´t get me wrong, I didn´t say I didn´t make currency in those 20 maps - I simply didn´t get the craft I need. So in the end it would have been a better use of my time to simply roll the sextants and sell Charged Compasses so I can buy the craft I need on TFT, instead of playing the game.

But how exactly is a casual player supposed to do this?! They can´t shell out 20 exalt for sextants. Instead they will run those 600 maps over the course of weeks, not get shit for a craft and thus not improve their character through playing. And they also can´t buy those Charged Compasses, because those cost almost the same and they will not get a reasonable return on their investment in the form of the craft they need.

And how exactly are these scales supposed to work for SSF players? Think about how long it takes to farm 800 awakened sextants at the current droprate. For NOT getting the craft you need.

Does this really sound reasonable to anyone? REALLY?!
Hold on to yer shite load o´ bloody barnacles on me arse-cockles, me hearty!

same way they are supposed to find a mirror, which is probably as relevant to their actual needs as augment cold.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Nope.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1.

A casual player is not supposed to do this.

You're talking about target farming one of the rarest things in this game, "Augment X". That is MUCH better than an exalt, hence it needs to be rarer. Hell, even full-time streamers haven't seen this craft on a league to league basis. And in a game where trading is a thing, trading will ALWAYS be the easiest route, no matter what.

SSF players aren't really a part of the equation. The game isn't - and will probably never be balanced around SSF. SSF is a separate challenge mode - a handicap you're willingly and knowingly putting on yourself. This is what players asked for when they asked for an SSF mode.

My view? When you get to a point where "Augment X" is the only thing that improves your character, you're at a VERY late min/maxing stage - and upgrades SHOULD be immensely rare/hard to get.

Mostly the past two years it has to do with a poorly balanced melee feels. I feel like I am playing a different game at times, people are burning through pack after pack, blowing up bosses.. and I just struggle. I spend more time to trying figure out what is wrong with my skill trees or gear rather then play the game.

I love the core parts of the game with the atlas, especially now. But I can't stomach melee anymore. And I'm tired of waiting for the next patch hoping it will be addressed. I've tried other classes but they just don't suit me, I don't enjoy them.

So yeah every league I try it out and feel the same way. I did enjoy Ritual back when Slams were actually good. They got nerfed several patches in a row culminating in the big nerf patch. Now they are alright to play but no where near the glory days. The sad thing is the glory days for slams weren't even that great. Atleast not compared to other things we have in this game.

We'll hopefully next patch...

I actually think we'll see some long overdue melee buffs/reworks next league. It's about time. I'll go so far as to "expect" melee buffs/reworks.
