i don't want him to be banned dudes,i just asked how one plays constant for 2 days. as far as i know it's 2 days,i noticed him only when he was getting close to the ladder.
enough,time to go sleep.

Yeah, but 2 days isn't really out of the question. I'll confess that when I was younger there were a few whole weekend gaming sessions. And that was on a mud, which was telnet/text based. I would imagine it's easier now without the eye strain of reading small lines scrolling constantly.

I'm not saying it was healthy, and it's definitely not healthy now, but 2 days is more than feasible. 3-4 days is a stretch, short of a meth fueled session.

The whole situation is a catch 22. People who play for 2-3 days straight can find ways around any mitigation GGG puts in place.

as a kid I was doing 3-4 days straight of Diablo 2 without sleep, only bathroom, food and occasional stretches.

so someone going crazy to win a demigod doesn't seem all that surprising to me, even now as an adult I can do 30ish hour sprees without relying on caffeine/etc... to stay awake.
I used to be that guy. I would regularly go 60-80 hours without sleep to be a world/server first in various MMOs at launch, there were no prizes back then, it was just the thrill of the competition to me. Staying awake that long is not difficult, but a lot of energy drinks were usually involved. I remember hitting 100 hours once, was watching the clock at the time pushing myself to hit that and then passed out immediately after. Best sleep I ever got.

I stopped with the caffeine years back though, and that has limited me to more like 30-40 hours of awake time, not much point competing for anything like that. If you are trying to maintain a normal schedule and work for things like this, you honestly aren't even playing the same game.

so this guy in question ended up 4th . . .

he went from lv96 50% to almost lv98 in 10 hours lmao. that is some hardcore no-life powerleveling for sure
yes i lost,he has 24 demigods... this must be what he likes in the game,he can have it if he loses health over it.
i put the guy who ended up 5th through hell too for fighting on,he wanted to sleep too but it was between us at that point because we both knew that
S1meon_ttv was going to pass us.
competing for who has slept less or eaten less is something i will never do again.

They need to limit this game to 12hrs a day. Ladders mean fuck all with open hrs with teams against 1. Not to mention health issues. Ask any doctor if sitting one spot for 16-20 hrs is good for you.
Git R Dun!
Events that encourage such an activity, need to just stop.

If the guy was literally playing 50+ hours straight he's a suicidal maniac and needs professional help.
If he didn't and it's a bot or shared account, he needs a ban.

And either way this encourages other people like OP to adopt a similar sleepless tactic to keep up.

Just stop this BS, GGG, before someone is hurt.

Shadow: That was fun
A race should not take more then 24 hours, unless streaming would be a requirement. Otherwise people sharing account (eg. two people living in same house) would have a major advantage.

Limiting activity would be bad in my opinion, because trade would be even more painful. We'd get trade messages only when actually playing the game, afk-ing in HO to be available for trades would no longer be an option.

I think putting a time limit would be the wrong approach, but instead, don't reward demigods for "first to 100" or "top 5 highest". just remove that or give it to anyone who hits 100.

this is probably an unpopular opinion, but doing that will drastically cut down on people doing unhealthy stints of playing, because they'll be able to casually (like 12 hours a day still, but ayyy) get to 100 during the 10 days instead of killing themselves with 3 hours of sleep or 72 hour long marathons.

it does sort of remove the "competitive" aspect, but isn't that was royale is for? or pvp? races to do first bosses or completing the acts as fast as possible are a lot less taxing since they take much less time, but level 100? say good bye to your sleep and health.

i'm rank 4, the rank 5 guy said he can't keep pushing anymore because there is one guy coming at us playing non stop,we can't keep up...
all of us in top 5 checked the ladder graph on him and his session has been about 50 hours straight...
how is this possible? it's not human... he never stops,he has 24 demigods wtf

Racing in PoE either drugged up no life to keep up, account sharing or even maybe botting.

Either way i know why i dont do this racing stuff.

In SC Trade maybe, HCSSF Races are won constantly by normal people.

yeah normal people like streamers without a job who have the time to play 20h a day.....very competitiv

Ehhh I agree with you but its also contextual, you could have top 5'd in Endless Heist as a few ascendancies with low relative playtime just because so few people play them.

I kinda felt like regular HC would be less contested too but I didn't get around to checking.

The best ascendancies will be won by hours put in though really.
