streamers drop rate easy life easy gameplay
" Tbh I have no idea how GGG balances the game, (and neither do you) and how much of it is just tossing against a wall and seeing what sticks. When you watch a dedicated team/guild, or some of these juiced up Tower Maps with MF Tornado Shot builds, it's like another game is being played. Meh. GGG has tumbled down flight of concrete stairs if you ask me. The game is wildly out of whack for most players. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

Streamers play well in excess of 100+ maps a day, and with league mechanics like scourge and reliably make several exalts per map on some of those in addition to all the normal stuff they do.
Listening to streamer talk about knocking out 100 Einhar missions in a couple hours when i might do 5-10 in the same amount of time lol. Streamers dont need any help from GGG/fan's to be so far ahead of the curve. and if you can do things in a team, the rewards go up exponentially with basically zero additional overhead. " Again; "the game" for "most players"... What IS "the game"? My point is that between ten acts, white maps, yellow maps, red maps, "hundred" depths in Delve, "hundred" different tiers of Heist contracts and so on, how much of the game is really "balanced around no-lifers and streamers"? People take for granted what they master, and envy what they can't. And the amount of content "most people" master, is bigger than "most people" think. Can they "clean up" the game a little bit? Sure. Can they make it more beginner friendly? Of course. Can they make progression smoother? Arguably. But as long as they keep a tiny bit of content unreachable for "most people", some of those people will whine that "the game" is balanced around those that can do that "tiny bit". Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" Well we most certainly disagree that they only need to clean up "a little bit", or make minor adjustments. Personally I think major portions of the game need work. The looting systems, the crafting imbalance, QoL, 3rd party tools and game knowledge/accessibility, mechanic bloat, hell I could go on. The percentage of players that even get to maps is alarming, and its arguable that the endgame is actually more enjoyable than getting through the Acts. I'm not even talking about Maven or the other aspirational content. Hell I've never even killed Maven! Players are leaving at a record pace percentage wise without getting to this content. To say that players are just jealous and experiencing envy, and that's what's wrong with PoE is so ridiculous I'm not even going down that road. PoE has many problems, and blaming players for the current development direction is outrageous imo. You do you I guess. " Claiming that I said they are "just" feeling envy, is even more ridiculous. I always react when I see people whine about the game being "balanced around streamers and no-lifers", because that's FAR from the truth - if people just have the ability to think. And I'm not going to claim that you said "it has nothing to do with envy", like you just did to me with your strawman-"just", but if you're indirectly claiming that, you are wrong. Hell, this whole tread is based on some levels of envy. Nonono, not "just" envy (there's also a solid lack of logical/critical thinking, amongst other things). Please don't put words into my mouth like that. I really dislike it, and it makes a discussion go sour real fast. Edit: Hell, even the thread between us smells of envy, pulling out the RMT-card the moment he sees someone with more currency than him. But is it "just" envy? Probably not. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Nov 29, 2021, 3:17:58 PM

" well to be fair I know some people that do this rmt thing and even brags about it. But again its not nice to acuse/insinuate just cause one have more currency. And I don't think its envy that motivate the "whine" but frustration. The game atm have a lot of systems that just frustrate people. Being gem scalling, defense scalling, over complicated stuff for newcomers (remember when we started and take a look now, game is 10000x worst for new players) and the gap between normal mapping and endgame juicing is hilariously huge, 1 guy can make the same currency doing 1 map than another doing 50 maps lol. My bicth still is the visual clutter. I only play with friends these days and its not a good experience not at all. The visual madness of particules makes me sick. This clutter + timers + high damage from specific mechs = a very poor experience. |

" Oh that's just BS. It's not a strawman, anyone can see your quote. You realized this and latched on to "just" in my retort. It disingenuous, and you just doubled down on your player envy argument. I'm not going to try and convince you of anything, we do tend to disagree generally speaking. I think this envy problem is an absurd observation, and you think PoE has a envy problem. I'm not pushing the blame on players, I'm just not. Its GGG issue. They are pushing this Casual/average player vs Elite/Streamer player game experience. Its getting worse and worse, and the data shows it. The real question is whether this divide is intentional or not, or if it's a case of GGG not fully understanding how game and balance changes will be received across ALL PLAYERS. *side note on your edit. Nobody legitimately gets nearly 300 exalts in two days without getting guild handouts, RMT, or some sort of botting/account sharing. Let's be real.
