Why are some players against balancing the game around SSF?

Are you talking about ssf or normal league now?

Cause people are clearing sim 30 with the weirdest builds in normal league, like tempest shield or iron mass skeletons.

im not sure why youre confused. i never once talked about trade league. is it because its never occurred to you that theres people that do this content in ssf?

No because you were talking about meta builds and not ssf meta builds.

Overwhelmingly, people play softcore trade, and anything else can safely be treated as a special event. Why would you balance the game around anything else?

If there's a problem with other formats, it's that formats' problem, not the main game which is softcore trade.

Yam is right Meta is meta. What's Darkee clearing wave 30 simu's with in SSFHC? the same build 66% of Champions are playing in Trade. TR of course.

from personnel experience there's been nothing I have not been able to build SSF. May take all three months - job, wife, kids etc get in the way but still. Doable playing 2-5 hours a week. it's only 2 some weekend because i'll fall asleep playing from exhaustion. There is something about this game that makes me really tired. Music maybe.

I cant believe its possible to build all meta builds without extreme luck in ssf. Like I cant imagine someone doing a 11 link squire build or one of the old aura stackers in that enviroment without having so much luck that he should have bought some lottery tickets.

The only real problem with SSF is watchers eyes.

Even in trade they start to be a problem at 2 useful aura's let alone 3. BUt in SSF you need to farm 120 to get one useful aura on average. 17,000 for 2!! Thats basically impossible. 3 forgettabit.

Helm enchants with over 1200 enchants are starting to become a problem even with pick-em.

But neither of those will make or break a build.

Other jewels you can make fairly easy. I played aura stacker albeit not 20 mllion DPS but like most, ~5m w/ same defenses.

I guess if i were to get discouraged I'd go back to trade which I was very successful at making hundreds of ex every season prior to Gen 3 when i gave it up, but it has not been a problem.
