Passive skill tree was a massive damage nerf to most builds.
I love it. With the 3.15 reaction I thought Chris would back down and just give the complainers more power. I'm glad he still sticks to his plan.

" "complainers" lulz also - what plan? |

" My bad, I meant whiners. I dunno, the man keeps on saying he has a vision or something, and I'm sure it's not the "shrooms" kind of vision, so I assume it's a plan for the game. Anyway, I'm here to have fun, but whiners annoy me, so I'm happy when they're crying. |

Average PoB even after working on pathing is down about 35%, with some exceptions.
Defenses were about the same, switching dodge to block in most cases and assuming shields with 40-45% block chance will be reasonably attainable. |

" Definitely seeing how much we'll all tolerate, that's for sure. |

" The people playing this game are way to serious. It's a game, just play it; and once you don't enjoy it anymore simply move on. So much drama, so many tears, for what? Some pixels. |

The "problem" with current 3.16 skill tree is that many small effects from previous Notables have been moved to Masteries. So Notables get weaker and you need to spend additional skill points to get that "niche" stats back. So for the same amount of points spent you get usually less. Of course it's easier to get some things now like attack block for instance, but those are rather exceptions.
I don't mind the idea of Masteries, in fact I like it, but in it's current form it's overall a nerf to current builds in comparison to what was before. In theory the current tree could be relatively easily optimized and improved by reducing number of small passives in outer clusters of skills. Such outer clusters like Axe, Mace, Bow, Sword, Lightning, Wand, Cold, and many others have 6 or more small passives. Why not reduce those to 4 small passives from 6 and to 5 from 7 or more, and buff values of remaining small passives and Notables from those clusters to compensate for that loss. And those two small passives leading to each large jewel socket could also be deleted "by the way". Or even simpler: for first 20 levels we get 2 skill points per level ;] Anyway, time will show in upcoming couple of weeks whether new ways and builds will be discovered. Now, without fully working and tested PoB and the game it's far easier to spot nerfs rather than buffs ;] Or it may be the way that so much has happened, so little has changed ;] |

My legacy/harvest gear Molten Strike Gladiator dps halved from 16m dps per ball to 8 mill dps per ball @11 balls, lost 500 life down from 9k to 8.5k and lost 48% block in total (spell block + attack block)
That class got nothing interesting left anymore. |

Gladiator is totally dead for ele conversation, and pure Physical was nerfed badly in 3.15, and probably received a nerf in 3.16 as well.
The b.c. Chris and GGG have done totally turns me away for the game. And again i got no problem with slowing down the game, but not doing it this way. Totally destroy multiple builds that were already in a hard spot, and needed quite a lot of investment to just make them work, and they were never been OP at some way. As well as not addressing the 99,99% garbage loot, and buff the drops, because this is the first thing you need to do when you going to slow down the game. And stop making every league mechanics with timers, and things that push you to go as fast as possible. What they want, and what they do is totally opposite. Good lord more and more solid ARPG are coming to the market, as well as MMORPG. |
