Passive skill tree was a massive damage nerf to most builds.

I'm not fond of new mastery system. Rather than interesting system that can be used to specialize We are playing punishment game.

Currently King of the Hill grants 80% increased crit chance, knockback enemies on crit and 16% increased damage (including damage over time).
In 3.16 this very same node will only give you 100% increased critical strike chance. Knockback enemies on crit will cost you an extra passive point.

I also noticed that ignite also got nerfed. We lost plenty of ignite chance from passive tree. Ignite deals damage faster is now on right side of the tree. Breath of flames only got 10% increased damage but lost 20% chance to ignite and ignite duration.


[I am too lazy to check everything. I only spend some time looking on things I can be interested playing]

Tons of nerfs for masteries that are more often than not very underwhelming. There are some things i can take to make my build more consistent (for example 40% phys to chaos conversion to deal only chaos damage) but nothing of that is worth losing that much.

all i hear is *i lowst sooowww musch daematsch* but i dont see anyone appreciating all the buffs to defenses and the easy aviable acces for every ascendancy to get ailment immune or to most part remove the ones that are dangerous to ones specific build.... might just be me but damage is not everything for the majority of the players, and yes while it is true and proven in the past that literaly 0 def (some 700hp minus xxres ect.)is one ofbest ways to clear content BUT the players who can survive on suchs builds are exeptional players and know what they are doing and almost non of these players is crying about nerfs like this (im not one of those players, im just happy defensives getting hughe buffs)

If they just added more defensive passives you would still be picking only damage passives on your tree and complaining u cant survive. So they made the right choice removing the excess of damage passives so u need to travel more if u want more damage, or choose the right decision to get defensives nodes too that are closer

Very much so, and the reality being that add to this using the exact same gear set up may not work in conjunction with adjustment to tree, heck any threads of hope users may be in for rude awakening now. Generally I have found masteries to be okay, amazing on a select few types (leeching) but a trap generally.

defensive layering has increased significantly and although a few of my interests for this league have decreased slightly in dps but climbed exponentially in tank the one I want to run with is far better off for both.

over all good but that tree was minefield for the first 2 hours.

I can't wait to have 2x the def with 50% of the damage. A 20 minute sirus fight sounds like a blast!

Less damage maybe but more defence, people will start crying that they're not dying enough, such is the way with gamers it seems.
i plugged a lot of old builds into this new pob and i played with the trees extensively for hours, this wasnt a rushed job.

the majority of them lost defences, they didnt gain. they would have to drop their damage to lower than they had before simply to maintain roughly the same defence as they had.

the one build i tried that gained defence was a physical attack marauder who was mainly life and armour with a bit of evasion. that build absolutely got its defence buffed while maintaining its damage.

all the evasion and energy shield builds lost defences tho, often quite significant amounts of defences.

Without damage , your Betrayal members will run away , you won't have time to unlock Alva's temple rooms , no time to reach the Breach arena , and so on . And Scourge league mechanic seems to have a timer .
