Now that aura bots are gone….
you guys seriously don't seem to know much about aurabots, not the real impact the mooted changes in 3.16 will have.
1. running with 2 aurabots will be less profitable per player and more risky, as if either one dies, it is likely the other one will too. the carries we run with with super-juiced maps (i'm talking about maps that cost about 3ex each to run and take 30-40 minutes to clear and loot) are mostly zhp builds, similar to deep delivers, with 100%+ quant and 750%+ rarity. this won't be possible in 3.16. otherwise, they were aurastackers themselves, or build that scale to insane dpa, like PB 2. the dps one needs for these maps is on the order of hundreds of millions dps, not 50m or so. the super high dps is the best way to survive. the carry build is itself optimised to play with the aurabot 3. the key is the multiplication effect of many auras (16-20) AND aura effectiveness, which are both nerfed hard. 4. almost all teams are 2 players, with only a handful being 6 players. we often use one addotoonal person as a trader that said, a few of us are busy theory-crafting alternative approaches to 2-player MFing in 3.16, and will test some new ideas. so the problem, which i don't even think is a problem, of a tiny amount of players making about 5ex profit per map will in all likelihood continue. so if ggg's rationale is to stop that, they won't succeed. instead, they will just manage to destroy two build types that have brought huge amounts of pleasure to many people. |

" Of course there will be changes. Mostly you will be no longer able to load all auras at the same time and go. Now Supports have to decide which way they specialize. It will surely hit the 1% players out there and GGG & the community acutally want that. Ironically it will be the same 1% still being at the top after this. " Which is bad game design and lazy mentality of said group. After 3.15 Expedition nerfs, alot of these 100+ DPS builds died. Don't tell me your group did not notice this. DPS in general will go down by the "vision" of GGG. The game will be slower and more methodical. " I say "good". The focus on aura effectiveness killed the average support player out there. Having all auras was so broken it became a meme. The hate of the community for such OP mechanics is well earned. Now it's back to the roots, although the current best Aurabots out there will not like that. " The 6 player parties are still strong and will be after the changes. The quanitity bonus was the main reason for that. I have to go over all the nerfs and changes in general again. The slowly trickling format is bad for keeping an overview. " People hated Aurabots because of these few groups controlling the economy like if they were the mafia. Those 5ex per map are still more than the average player makes in a whole league. I can not say I am all that empathetic about all these borderline exploit users. " As long as GGG somehow is able to fix their mess from 3.15, the majority might not even care about this. What enraged the POE community were the "Streamer Priviledge" + "Group X is exploiting with Aurabots" scandals. " Always has been! GGG is hellbent on destroying everything that once was Path of Exile. To hell with POE2, we want good and fun experiences now. We can all sing you a song about how our favorite build / archtypes got destroyed for many many years. POE will either survive this crisis or not. The only thing sure the game will not finally break because of some nerfs of Aurabots. |
