Please tell us what killed us, it is literally not hard.
Death log pls

It's actually impossible in online games, technically.
Even with sub-divided batch processing which I doubt this game uses. It probably just uses normal batch processing. The server can only tell you within 33ms what it calculated. What it calculates isn't always in order. That's just how batch processing works. Sure it can get close but technically, no online combat log has every been 100% accurate. The question is, who's gunna take up that extra processing? Probably no one. EDIT: Sorry, it's impossible without a TCP connection. No it is just they literally don't want to spend 500k too do it. They answered this years ago. I think they could knock out a very simple one for much cheaper. Remember how long they dragged their feet on a trade website.
Death logs are easy and unobtrusive. Remember they can change their code to accommodate all sorts of practices. |

Considering that literally all damage must be calculated before it can be dealt, the excuse that "it's not easy" to simply take a snapshot of those calculations and put in a log is really idiotic.
It would also be really simple to show the actual damage numbers we deal, but the only reason they don't do either is because PoE is soo deeply bugged, it would bring all those bugs and miscalculations to the surface, and they don't want that. Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].

I already know what killed me:
1. It was the skeleton mage off screen that did 10 points of damage, right after 50 other things hit me. 2. It was my inability to see ground effects / projectiles / my character / all of the above. 3. It was my inability to be immune to that one thing I couldn't squeeze into the build. 4. It was my inability to have 100 Div and buy all the items I needed for my fun build to actually work properly. 5. It was simply my time to die (so GGG tells me). 6. It was casino gambling game theory that killed me - by which I mean, GGG deliberately adds friction to the game to slow you down, to keep you addicted, so you'll eventually spend money with them. One aspect of that slowing you down is killing the player. |

" It's not hard to code. It's hard to manage. It takes up a lot of resources if you want reasonable accuracy. A CPU can split calculations all day. But when you tell the CPU to log those calculations it gets taxing quickly. We're talking a 10MB text file every 5 minutes per player at least. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" Oh I understand, but I quoting the price from a reddit post like 7 years old at this point. I'm not an engineer, but it's not hard. I think is their design choice, and in my opinion it's wrong. |
