First, I want to clarify I dont have ANYTHING personal against ANY poe content creator, its their job, they have families to feed, I understand, everything is cool on this side.

BUT

the current GGG's attitude to streamer's is disguisting... Their idea is like that EVERYTHING could be fixed with enough content pushed via streamers. Majority is unsatisfied - hire streamers to print videos that everything is not that bad. New league start - hire 100500 streamers to push it. Retention is terrible - hire even moar streamers!People are mad cause of bad RNG - let another streamer to 6link another astral plate in few fuses!

But the point is, you simply can't fix EVERYTHING with PR stuff. We dont want another multihours talks, we want REAL actions. Good patchnotes, new QOL stuff, decent balance, fun game that respects out time played...
3.13 Was the best league ever!
3.18 Rest in peace my beloved recombinators, I'm gonna miss you...

Yes yes yes.
And players realised that so left even twitch. Just because too many pr unhonesty there. This feels, and do an obvious backfire. Even reddit become so, and heavilly moderated.

Ive honestly never spend this much time on poe forums before, this is more content than actual game that is all gambling bait
Isnt it the best experience of Path of Exile to play a unchanged or nerfed crap Skill Gem to Yellow Maps just to figure out its completly Garbadge so you cant compete there ? Isnt it the best experience to figure out that the whole Skill Tree and 80% of the Skill Gems are pure FAKE ? That its a illusion to have a choice ? Isnt it so cool to see Older Youtube Videos of Builds and Content which were FUN and got completly removed without any replacement ? Enjoy Peach.

The game was good enough until 3.13. Sadly Chris and his vision destroyed the game for good. No more PR podcasts shit. Actions speak loudly than words. No mpre paid porn acting streamers telling us how good the game is. We are playing this game for years and we know better than them what is good and what is bad.

" The new player experience "

I've retired from WoW classic & Planetside 2. I only started POE 1 month ago. So I have the new players perspective. Yet no matter what the new player opinion is, people may want different things.

Or at least I want different things. This game certainly doesn't need to make the game easier to understand in anyway possible. It needs depth, plus additions, & expansion.

If anything these streamers like Asmongold, Lazy Peon, or Preach should be showing, is that MMO players are looking at this game & weighing it out. Including myself. So it needs a whole new project team, devoted to catering to MMO players, in my honest opinion.

Taking a long break from playing Planetside 2; which has updates too, doesn't get sponsored by big streamers, nor has a international audience. Yet PS2 still dishes out the same level or amount of updates, at least recently. So GGG, having a bigger potential for an audience, should step it up.

Tho I don't find " updating the new player experience " to be much of a use for anyone who's played more than 6 days.. nor do I find hour long podcasts only talking about leagues to be interesting enough on its own. I'd say the biggest thing POE needs rightnow, is not more endgame single player stuff. Literally anything else at all would be better, any other social out of the box multiplayer themes.

It seems like u're looking for an MMORPG in an ARPG. That won't happen in PoE, so u should look elsewhere for better MMOs.
PoE is an ARPG to it's heart and it won't change because u want it to be an MMORPG.
Asmon for example doesn't play PoE on his main stream, because he knows his main audience is MMO players. Lazy Peon is reaching into new genres, because he doesn't have much content in MMOs anymore and Preach didn't play any ARPGs besides D3 before, so he's giving it a try.

If you took the time to listen to all of preach's opinions on PoE (especially on the Baeclast episode) you would realize that he agrees with the developers vision of the game a lot more than yours. Including a 'hard' act 1 - which he seemed very unimpressed with in terms of this meme on offer from the community that it's so hard it's making veterans quit while new players don't stand a chance of beating it.

There are a TON of other things he said on that 3 hour podcast that are basically in lockstep with how Chris W wants the game to be. You may not have heard them b/c reddit was busy clipping and splooging over the 2 or 3 things he said that the hivemind agrees with. Should we go through them all and keep a ledger on each side? Community vision vs dev vision and where Preach falls on the dichotomy?

The game doesn't live or die with an easy or hard act 1. They didn't even make A1 significantly harder. The rhoas hurt a little more oh noes.

There's one thing Preach and the PoE reddit community agree alot with though. And that's the stranglehold GGG holds on QoL changes.
The whole "item weight" meme is the best example of that.

Other than that, yes, Preach seems to be more of a SSF players than a trade league player for sure. He enjoys the grind towards the destination.
Softcore players often enjoy the destination itself.
I stumbled on his playthrough video on Youtube last week, He played blind, no no googling, no asking for advice, and enjoyed it.

It was much the same for me the first time I played.

That feeling wears off.
I thought they've been printing money for years already.
PoE doesn't really need advertising anymore. It needs carefully made, right decisions and performance fixes.
