Saw Peach playing POE! GGG could be printing money right now!
With the mass exodus of WoW players and Preach one of the biggest streamers in the world playing POE, I cant help but wonder if ggg actually spend some time IMPROVING the new player's experience instead of making it worse by juicing up act 1. GGG would not just gona be getting INCREASED money but could be making MORE money instead. This joke is not nearly as funny as the current state of the dead league.

If you took the time to listen to all of preach's opinions on PoE (especially on the Baeclast episode) you would realize that he agrees with the developers vision of the game a lot more than yours. Including a 'hard' act 1 - which he seemed very unimpressed with in terms of this meme on offer from the community that it's so hard it's making veterans quit while new players don't stand a chance of beating it.
There are a TON of other things he said on that 3 hour podcast that are basically in lockstep with how Chris W wants the game to be. You may not have heard them b/c reddit was busy clipping and splooging over the 2 or 3 things he said that the hivemind agrees with. Should we go through them all and keep a ledger on each side? Community vision vs dev vision and where Preach falls on the dichotomy? The game doesn't live or die with an easy or hard act 1. They didn't even make A1 significantly harder. The rhoas hurt a little more oh noes. Last edited by innervation#4093 on Sep 13, 2021, 1:10:44 AM

" It appears that OP does - that's why I responded in OP's thread about the topic. Last edited by Will_GGG#0000 on Sep 13, 2021, 1:15:50 AM

" The new player experience "
I've retired from WoW classic & Planetside 2. I only started POE 1 month ago. So I have the new players perspective. Yet no matter what the new player opinion is, people may want different things. Or at least I want different things. This game certainly doesn't need to make the game easier to understand in anyway possible. It needs depth, plus additions, & expansion. If anything these streamers like Asmongold, Lazy Peon, or Preach should be showing, is that MMO players are looking at this game & weighing it out. Including myself. So it needs a whole new project team, devoted to catering to MMO players, in my honest opinion. Taking a long break from playing Planetside 2; which has updates too, doesn't get sponsored by big streamers, nor has a international audience. Yet PS2 still dishes out the same level or amount of updates, at least recently. So GGG, having a bigger potential for an audience, should step it up. Tho I don't find " updating the new player experience " to be much of a use for anyone who's played more than 6 days.. nor do I find hour long podcasts only talking about leagues to be interesting enough on its own. I'd say the biggest thing POE needs rightnow, is not more endgame single player stuff. Literally anything else at all would be better, any other social out of the box multiplayer themes. 20vs20 group pvp updates (for the main game, not royal). Siege vs siege maps. Randomized & shuffled passive trees. Bigger trees +30 point updates. Large towns hosting 100+ people; bard taverns. A field near town for guild events. Not hideouts like WoW-Garrisons. Outside like Ragnarok Online. Last edited by PrairieTutanka#3123 on Sep 13, 2021, 4:42:22 AM

you don't want that streamer to get too deep with this game..
when the game is on the worst state he will leave it.. this guy is lucky somehow that he didnt find about harvest on 3.13 or the league. Don't be a poe stan. Use your fucking brain.

" huh ? Preach didn't leave WoW cuz it's at it's worst...He stood there when Draenor happened. WoW is just a dumpster on fire lately and he argumented his decesion. I don't think he got paid to say nice things about POE, but it's the streamers way to suck up to developers in general. That's how they secure the long term contracts. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.

Not the same game but the outcry and lost/new gained players reminds me of Star Citizen.
Game vision was never really clear and progress as slow as watching glaciers move. Then there where some new mechanics that drove away whales and prominent streamers, their followers or regular smaller backers. The same seems to happen currewntly in POE for different reasons, but in a similar big extent. I dont think POE league starts numbers will get significantly lower if old (lost) audience gets replaced with new ones. In both games there will be a threshold ,in the future, where the old backers/supportes will be mostly replaced with new players and the game will look significantly more different (within bounds ofc) than in the old days. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Sep 13, 2021, 2:37:29 AM
