Someone please ask Chris Wilson this on his next community interview:
" And in 4.0 aka PoE 2?... |

They are fundamentally rebalancing the game. There's never been a better time (other than when the game was first made) to fix this joke of a problem.
At the very, very least, they should turn the logout macro into a flask that instantly shields you from harm and brings you to town for immersion sake. | |
|
Well, if this really is a thing, you need to go remove it from every other game that has it as well.
Which is pretty much 70% of all the games in existence in this genre. |

Diablo 3 fixed this 10 years ago,
POE = technology isnt there yet... Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me. Last edited by KalHirol#0543 on Aug 17, 2021, 7:41:14 AM

Very good question I strongly support this. Instant logout removes the fun, imersion and any feel of permanent danger. Im pretty sure SSF HC streamers that are constantly seeking challenge and hard mode would agree. |

This is one of the few things D3 did right.

Where's that list of all the dead horses we seem to keep bringing back for another beating?

" I refuse to believe that. Adding an N-second log out timer after you press one of the log out buttons isn't some herculean feat of programming. |
|
" They don't want you to die because you got disconnected either though. If you add a timer to the logout button people will just crash the client. This game isn't competitive enough for it to matter whether someone logs out. We just don't want the game to assume we are going to logout because many of us don't, not because we want extra challenge, but just because it's a lame way to have to play the game. I don't care about instant logouts. Let people play like they want.
I just don't want recovery nerfs. This game is already nerfed to the ground, and people are fleeing en masse. I strongly disagree. |
