Streamer Big Ducks unloads on GGG and people who attack those critical of GGG

https://youtu.be/VrX8Un0dupk

Probably one of the most forthright, honest, and important videos he's made.

In no way does he get personal but he does absolutely take the task GGG and tangentially anyone who has been trying to brush off the criticism of GGG.

He really is speaking for quite a few of us. And while I may disagree with a point here or a point there, I could not agree more with his conclusion about what Poe should be to its players.

The man hits every single point and knocks every single one out of the park.

It's a hell of a video and must watch...

Damn, anybody got a new source for builds copied from other people or click bait POB warrior builds that completely fail to deliver?

You can act like a creep all you want, but there are a lot of people who have used his guides and really appreciate his content.

Ironically he also addresses people like you in the video and I think he nailed it.
Finally a streamer/player/user/human that actually knows how to critique something, with solid arguments, backed up by examples, not just "I hate this. It's bad. Give me Harvest back. I quit!!!!".

And he HAS some solid arguments, especially regarding end game farming methods and chase items. I don't mind the game being hard. Or long (even though it's closing in on "too long"), but there has to be some carrots at the end of the grind. At the end of all the time spent. The grass has to be greener at the other side of the grind than it is now.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Majority of PoE content creators and streamers choose the same time to unload their negative opinions of this league.

This includes:
- Bigducks
- Zizaran
- MBXtreme
- Badger
- Ghazzy
- PathofMatth
- Cutedog
- Grimro
- Kobeblackmamba
- Tytykiller
- Somayd
- Tripolarbear
- Rueto
- DS Lily
- Alkaizer
- Nugiyen
- Doublelift

et.c. The list goes on. Most of these people have been quiet regarding their opinion of the league for 2 weeks to give it an honest chance. But after 2 weeks and a loss in 65% player numbers.
But now it's starting to crumble. Not only regular players are voicing their negative opinions and quitting. Now even the streamers and content creators can't keep quiet about the state of the game any longer and their negative opinions are hitting the community in full force.

Honestly, the list of people who dislike the league probably includes even more prominent streamers but I don't know the opinion of many of them.
People like Mathil, Empyrian, Crouching Tuna, Cloudy et.c. just don't seem to have an opinion. Maybe they love the game, maybe they hate it. Impossible to know, but they're still playing.

Is that really that unusual, though (earnestly asking, I don't know)? I would expect that most players who cause the spike at league start are very casual. And most of those very casual players get to maps, hit a wall, and stop playing 'til next league, or the league after that.

I say that because that's typically how I play this game, and I'm about back at that point of feeling like I can't make any headway.
Guess were not supposed to enjoy the League ? because some streamers said so ?

Guess ill quit ?

I love the flask Changes and the nerfs don't really bother me any ?

Internally, GGG knows they messed up if they are going to be talking about 3.16 already.

What is sad is that I don't necessarily think GGG was wrong to scale back the power creep.

The main issue, and it's one big ducks pointed out is that they are slowly also nursing everything that players have found to be fun while giving them absolutely nothing new that is fun to replace it.

It's fine if you want to slow down the game but at least make it more rewarding along the way. Reward your players for their time invested.

And he was also right in that people should be allowed to play the game the way they want to play it. In short, have things for the no Life streamers to go after, but don't make your whole game around just that. Instead also have things in a sense of reward for the people who play casually.

One of the things I've never understood is why certain bosses seem to be strongly gated, to the point where the only way to break through that gate is by hitting a certain DPS threshold, which consequently makes the mechanics of the boss fight null and void.

If players are spending more time trying to find ways to avoid a mechanic rather than participating in it, then maybe the mechanic itself needs to be revisited, else the rewards need to validate doing it the right way.

Catarina is an excellent point for this. No one runs that boss fight because there is just not a good balance of risk versus reward.

If we are calling a spade a spade, then it feels like for these past few leagues, what GGG wanted to do was simply focus on slowing down people from completing the content too quickly. They really didn't care about anybody's fun or how it would impact those who take the game at a slower pace.

Their internal metrics were telling them people were finishing the game too quick and leaving too early so they tried this artificially slow it down.

Well congrats to them because now they drove off even more people by making it painfully slow.

It really is a child's way of reasoning.

It's hard to generalize because league performance is vastly different between different leagues.

But generally, leagues seem to lose about 40% of their playerbase after 1 month.

Ultimatum: 41% lost after 1 month
Ritual: 35% lost after 1 month
Heist: 38% lost after 1 month
Harvest: 49% lost after 1 month (Extremely criticized league by alot of people)
Delirium: 39% lost after 1 month
Metamorph: 23% lost after 1 month
Blight: 53% lost after 1 month (Another extremely badly recieved league)

Now compare that to Expedition which has lost 65% of its playerbase in 2 weeks.
TWO WEEKS. The league isn't just performing badly like Blight and Harvest did.
It's performing astonishinglt poor. This is the worst performing league in history.
