Don't concede an inch to Reddit.

And again: OP is playing meta build spectres and never fully engaged with the hard endgame of POE based on his achievements.

This is a pattern among those who praise the changes. They dont know that the game was quite challenging before when you didnt play meta builds without mirror tier gear.

lol u sure about that? i've had quite a few successful off meta builds in ssf over the past 2 leagues, with all self-found/crafted gear.

I think by off meta u imply it has to be a shitty build vs what meta actually means (popular)? If that's so, then this game is all about good builds/gear. You're not supposed to be able to do endgame content with subpar builds.

GGG should start moving away from communicating through Reddit. It's an incredibly bad way to communicate with customers. Any positive discussion about the recent changes are immediately downvoted into oblivion by [Removed by Support]. The only positive threads I've seen about this patch have been seen through searching /all in the controversial section.

Half of the [Removed by Support] on Reddit want PoE to turn into a Chinese Moba P2W fiesta. They don't want to engage with mechanics and cry when their builds can't kill a boss in half a second. They want to speed through maps and play their same OP character they've played for five years.

I was very excited when I saw the pace and the gameplay of PoE 2. I really hope that this [Removed by Support] tantrum does not affect any of the development.

The Reddit echo-chamber has already greatly affected the HC community where constant spouts of 'HC is waaaay too dangerous, don't play that you just get off-screened and 1-shot all the time!!!!!' greatly discourage new players from joining throughout the years. Whereas in reality, they have no idea what they're talking about (as always) and HC has been safer than it ever has been in the past.

I hope that GGG doesn't concede to the circus that is Reddit. I'd hate to see PoE turn into Retail WoW.

Lmao this guy has NEVER:

had 3 watchstones socketed to every region
completed every atlas map
done uber atziri
done uul-netol, esh, or chayula
killed maven

Yeah GGG ahead and continue to take feedback from players who don't even interact with end game smh

So the criteria for being able to give feedback is -
a) play only non-meta builds
b) do endgame bosses like maven, uber atziri, etc

I see this pattern in every thread trying to give positive feedback about changes, people like you jumping in to invalidate their opinions.

You're not special, and killing maven didn't give you any right to have ur feedback given priority.

This forum is not that much different. It is good we don't have upvotes though. If you are part of the minority who actually enjoys the league you'd never get heard if upvoting was a thing.

Go on, tell me how I am playing a meta build.

Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Nice straw-mans.

Here's a thought: If Reddit is the problem, why do nearly all of the forums for this game have similar complaints?

Because the 1% of the population who uses either forums or both are the same people finding outlets to cry more ? I literally see users here with the exact same name used here as on reddit doing the exact same thing.

Its almost as if the problematic catering to the "1%" of players people whine about constantly doesnt exist. Meanwhile the actual 1% of player is... Well, you see where im going with that.
Harvest sucks! But look at my decked out gear two weeks in!

Labyrinth salt farm miner.

"But my build diversity" , "Game is too hard!" - Meta drone playing the same 1-3 builds for years.
It's fair to say there's some overlap (I myself an example of this), but it seems remarkably disingenuous to claim (As the OP does) that any complaints are the results of... Unsavory individuals.

When every single outlet of discussion for a game is steeped in negativity, I don't feel it's helpful to imply that negativity stems from some community you (You as a general term, not you as a person) deem ridiculous.

It's not your fault, but you can't then just say that everything is fine without contradiction yourself. Plus, Not everyone wants to play minion builds. Making the game "harder" doesn't make it harder, it just moves and squashes meta builds. This league has shown that. Plus with enough currency even CoC is super strong. The problem there though is it takes so much currency that the build is dead for everyone but the top 1% of players. That isn't healthy for a game.

I never said everything was fine. But keep imagining things, typical Reddit boogeyman mentality.

I think it's a good thing that many OP builds can't function without huge currency investments. That's the point, not everything should be great with no investments.

So if things are not "fine" then you've pretty much proven your own thread obsolete. Feedback has to be given in some form. People can't just WILL their thoughts into the devs minds.

Balancing through costs when costs can be "farmed" is an awful way to balance a game like this. This does NOTHING to those who play 16 hours a day, it only gates more casual players. How is that healthy for a game which comprises of 90% casual players? It's like shooting your own soldiers to demoralize the enemy in a battle.

Additionally, there really is no need to suggest I'm a "reddit boogeyman" as if it's suppose to be an insult. By saying that you are no better than those you persecute. The irony is poetic.
Too late, they already started caving in when they added 4 second immunities to flasks, decreased mana costs, increased gambling unique reward frequencies, and made the flask orbs useable at the crafting bench. Now they're making Rog tell you what mods he's going to effect because players aren't smart enough to do it themselves.

And it was only after this that you finally told the developers not to cave in after they already did! You were way too slow! But that's fine because it's the slowpokes that this league is meant to cater to, as this league is meant to SLOW down the game.

Slowpoke. (not you. The pokemon! Slowpoke.)
