Don't concede an inch to Reddit.
GGG should start moving away from communicating through Reddit. It's an incredibly bad way to communicate with customers. Any positive discussion about the recent changes are immediately downvoted into oblivion by [Removed by Support]. The only positive threads I've seen about this patch have been seen through searching /all in the controversial section.
Half of the [Removed by Support] on Reddit want PoE to turn into a Chinese Moba P2W fiesta. They don't want to engage with mechanics and cry when their builds can't kill a boss in half a second. They want to speed through maps and play their same OP character they've played for five years. I was very excited when I saw the pace and the gameplay of PoE 2. I really hope that this [Removed by Support] tantrum does not affect any of the development. The Reddit echo-chamber has already greatly affected the HC community where constant spouts of 'HC is waaaay too dangerous, don't play that you just get off-screened and 1-shot all the time!!!!!' greatly discourage new players from joining throughout the years. Whereas in reality, they have no idea what they're talking about (as always) and HC has been safer than it ever has been in the past. I hope that GGG doesn't concede to the circus that is Reddit. I'd hate to see PoE turn into Retail WoW. Last edited by Kali_GGG#0000 on Aug 5, 2021, 11:33:41 AM Last bumped on Aug 11, 2021, 4:18:19 AM

Funny, so you came here telling us that. How much does GGG communicate through their official forum, then?
At this point I have a creeping feeling about GGG public relations, people just don't want to communicate to each other anymore. I mean, who would? I've been to some general forums and seen how it goes. In the long run, toxic way of expressing things kills means of communing. Whether those expressed feelings have a legitimate basis or not, falls rather irrelevant, sadly. <3 In the end, it's a game, mate. There are hungry children in Africa. And again: OP is playing meta build spectres and never fully engaged with the hard endgame of POE based on his achievements.
This is a pattern among those who praise the changes. They dont know that the game was quite challenging before when you didnt play meta builds without mirror tier gear. |

This forum is not that much different. It is good we don't have upvotes though. If you are part of the minority who actually enjoys the league you'd never get heard if upvoting was a thing.

" Says the guy who only plays softcore trade leagues. Majority aurabots or HH builds lol. How is endgame hard again in softcore trade when you have infinite attempts at bosses with the most broken gear available? I've played minion builds since beta. That's what I play. GGG said the game was getting buffed so I chose a build that still could perform. In reality the build wasn't touched, that's not my fault. Last edited by Alex2515#0557 on Aug 5, 2021, 12:44:44 PM

" It's not your fault, but you can't then just say that everything is fine without contradiction yourself. Plus, Not everyone wants to play minion builds. Making the game "harder" doesn't make it harder, it just moves and squashes meta builds. This league has shown that. Plus with enough currency even CoC is super strong. The problem there though is it takes so much currency that the build is dead for everyone but the top 1% of players. That isn't healthy for a game. |

" I never said everything was fine. But keep imagining things, typical Reddit boogeyman mentality. I think it's a good thing that many OP builds can't function without huge currency investments. That's the point, not everything should be great with no investments. Last edited by Alex2515#0557 on Aug 5, 2021, 1:10:44 PM

"The state of the game right now...whos fault is it? How many reditors wrote the code that got the game in this mess. how many reditors forced GGG into the powercreep landslide. How many reditors sit at a desk in NZ and create policy for the game. |

" What Reddit circus? You can find same type of posts here and on Steam. The majority of players are pissed off with the league changes and all nerfs. What can you do? |

I agree with the OP. Don't cave in.
